XUV500 Flywheel Problem & Cheated from the begining

Dear All, 1. I would like to submit the following few lines for your kind considerations and favorable decisions at the earliest. 2. I have purchased an XUV 500 W6 in Dec 2015 from Muktar Automobiles, Goa. Reg- GA 08 M 5800. Clocked 35,500kms. With extended warranty. We bought this vehicle believed Brand Mahindra & Mahindra and Hoped the niggles of XUV500 are rectified from the previous model. 3. I got some observations of this XUV vehicle, which no body is taking care off and the after effects are the customer is blamed for the defects and we are paying Lump sum. 4. Recent Incident of 11 Sep 2017 at 0700 hrs. We were driving down to Kerala from Madgao on 11 Sep morning 0700 hrs. While driving we felt some kind of Free running sound of the clutch and we dropped the journey after 9 Kms. Vehicle was brought to the Muktar Automobile Wksp on 11 Sep around 9 AM with great concern. The problem was reported to Mr Jafar - A specialist of XUVs in Muktar team and the man who is attending this vehicle from the beginning. immediately he attended the Vehicle and took for an on-road testing with out preparing a work order. After the test drive by Mr Jafar, said that “ THERE IS NOPROBLEM TO THE CLUTCH, YOU CAN DRIVE TO KERALA . IF ANY PROBLEMS ARE THERE, WE ARE THERE ON THE ROAD SIDE REPAIRS ALSO, JUST GIVE ME A CALL” This was his wordings and assurance given to us. Even we mentioned with great concern that it is almost 780 Kms one side. Still he gave assurance to go ahead. Based on his assurance we proceeded to kerala on 12 Sep Morning at 0700 hrs and evening at 6:00 PM we stopped at Kasargod and night stayed. we reached my home at Kerala on 13 Sep evening. The vehicle was same as it was ..Condition On 17 Sep we started from kerala back to Goa. Evening we stayed back at Kannoor. Next day morning we started for Goa and reached at Home in the evening on 18 Sep 2017. The vehicle was with the same condition. While driving down to kerala on 12th there was a minor accident enroute while parking in front of a tea stall. A Bolero veh (seems to be of Forest division)( ramped on our static vehicle from back and drive away without even stopping, damaging our rear Bumper and metallic bumper guard. The rear Metallic Bumper guard was fully damaged and the bumper was slightly damaged. The incident was informed to Mr Jafar and he told since there is no problems for engine for driving, go ahead and bring the vehicle on arrival. Based on this the Vehicle was brought to the wksp On 19 Sep Morning. 5. Repairs. The vehicle was handed over on work order on 19th Sep 2017 Morning , for both Accident insurance claim and to rectify the sound/ free revving . On Inspection Mr Jafar reported that the “CLUTCH ASSEMBLY AND FLY WHEEL completely BURNT OUT”. As per Mr. Jafar he took up the case with the company for repairs of fly wheel under warranty, but his reply was they have not accepted any thing against warranty Repairs. When we asked for a copy of this communication, it was refused saying it is “our internal matter cant be shown or shared” .6. Overall assessment for burn out was “Overdriving by customer”. The Clutch Assembly and fly wheels were replaced on a payment of Rs. 42000 ( forty two thousand Rupees ). 7. In this incident our Observations are as under: a) We felt that clutch is having some problem while we started Journey to kerala on 11th Sep 2017, that was the reason with Great concern the vehicle was brought to the wksp for testing. But As per Mr. Jafar the vehicle was ok . he was checking the air filter for this clutch problem . After this the vehicle run a total kilometer of 1780 Kms only (kerala & back and local run at kerala). b) If Mr Jafar is an expert, taking his words as correct: c) how come the Clutch & Flywheel Burns out and needs a replacement at 1780 Kms running ? is it really the overdriving by the customer or it is the after effect of the Omition or ignorance or negligence or inability to locate the fault from the expert engineers side ?. d) Here what is the value of our initiative to cancel our trip to kerala and bring the vehicle to workshop with great concern for testing on 11 Sep ? e) here I want to mention that this Vehicle has been driven by me and my father only since purchase. We are well experienced in driving . We have owned Skoda Octavia , SX4, Tayota Innova, Verna etc regularly for more than 15 yrs. f) This shows what ? either your experts are Clueless about the clutch problems, and could not detect it even after the customer with his driving experience got a doubt of Clutch assembly and brought the vehicle for checking. Or Customer is penalised for the Manufacturing mechanical faults existing from the factory. g) But your wksp and your experts failed to detect it and bulldozing the defect on Customer and blaming him for “OVERDRIDING” . Other wise this clutch assembly problem is a Manufacturing defect which lead to this damage and replacement at 1780 KM and an over all 35500 Km. h) Overall KM run is only 35500 Km now. i) As per our view the clutch pad/ assembly and Fly wheel is not Burnt out fully, the way it has been declared by the wksp and not giving a warranty replacement. We are not satisfied with the expert opinion of your Technicians and engineers as well Supervisor. j) Under these conditions what is the Warranty repairs covered and what for extended warranty insisted on the customer ? Also there is a Bumper to bumper Insurance cover also. As per your assurance published online, the warranty & extended warranty covers the following: i. Engine Parts ii. Transmission System iii. Cooling System iv. Steering System v. Fuel System vi. Suspension vii. Electrical System (factory-fitted) viii. Chassis System k) As per the warranty above items are covered under warranty, if so : a. the fly wheel is not a part of the “Engine Parts “ ? and that too a fly whell getting damaged in 35,000kms. 8. Observations from the Day-1 onwards. a. I could observe one kind of sound from the front side wheels/engine. That time they said it will be done on first Servicing. But none of the specialists from MUKTAR AUTOMOBILES in Goa could not rectify and it is still present. The Muktar Supervisor also tested on 29th Sep 2017 and agreed , yes it is there. Suspension replaced once and bushes changed twice. Still the sound is present. b. The real spoiler which was available in the same color was having some painting problem at bottom of the spoiler, which they said will be done . But till date it has not been done. Whereas Two times Muktar has done paintings on this vehicle. c. From day one Door Open Indication appears with alarm while the vehicle is on slating surfaces. Checked by technicians and still existing. d. Vehicle was delivered with a dent on the bonnet. And while taking delivery from the showroom this was shown to the Salesman. SO what is the purpose of Pre delivery Inspection? 9. Observation on Warranty Repairs. a) In December 2016 there was a minor damage on the front left hand side - a damage of hardly 1 inch body cut, at that plastic cladding on the edge. Since this was a minor work, Insurance was not claimed. But the body work team Supervisor who attended did that work in a temp manner. The work was done as a patch work by putting an additional clip below, which looks dirty even now. b) While collecting the veh the supervisor gave a BILL of Rs 5000. When I asked why this much charge for this work, he said we will replace the edge plastic cladding next time when you come to wksp since it was not readily available. But it was not done even now instead now saying it is not mentioned in the work order. 10. I would like to request you to kindly consider the case after the following actions: a) The circumstances under which this damages happened and the Drivers experiences. b) A detailed investigation of the parts replaced. Why we had to spend Rs.42,000 in just 35,000kms. (I strongly say this is a manufacturing defect) c) Considering , Pre inspection done by the expert engineer from Muktar wksp on customer’s doubt on clutch and cancel the trip on 11 Sep, and no defect was detected instead gave an advice to go ahead with driving. d) We feel cheated at every end and there is no consideration from the Mahindra & Mahindra. 11. In view of the above I would like to request you to Consider the case as “Special Circumstances ”, and replace these parts against warranty and refund our paid money please. Below are the few feedbacks from the XUV500 Customer, this clearly show that there are problems with your transmission system especially clutch and flywheel. Customer feedbacks- 1. I have purchased my XUV 500 W8 in month of Nov 2013 & at 0000 Km my Clutch Plates got problem.I was on Pune-Nasik Highway.I contacted Mahindra Service Center i.e. Chinchwad-Pune Kundan Motors from where I purchased XUV.When I was discussing issue they told that I drove that with half clutch pressed that's why problem occurred.I don't know why should I press half clutch on highway.They told to bear cost for this even though it's having warranty of 3 years almost within one year this type of issue occurred.Once I back to mumbai keeping XUV in there workshop.on next day they come up with one more problem that fly wheels are not functioning hiw do trust them I don't know.Earlier I was having TATA INDICA I ran that almost lakhs of KMs but never faced clutch issue and within almost year I faced clutch issue with XUV and same dealer assured me 3 years warranty.Even we discuss review feedback about XUV that time they gave assurance to us about clutch issue.Please guide me.My contact details: +91 0441 Email Id: @gmail.com Please provide me other forums where i can post this incident happen day before yesterday on 5th jan 2. Hi I purchased Mahindra New Age XUV500 W10 in Nov. 2015buy just within two months and after 2506 km only my car started making some sound and when I took my car to service center they are now saying there is some probem with the Gearbox and trying to fix this. I am not satisfied with this as I purchased a new car and did not expect it to start having problems. I spend so much money and they are giving me a faulty repaired car. What can I do in this case and Is it possible to ask for replacement of the vehicle. Yes there are few complaints regarding problems of accessories in XUV500. ..... Recently my XUV clutch assembly is replaced after that pickup of my vehicle is gone .... I Chandrashekhar Parate, bought Mahindra XUV 500 W10 (KA-03-MW-4776) in August 2015 (approx. 2 Months old, ran 2500Km). I went to spend my Dussehra vacation at Goa from Bangalore. Took a overnight break at Hubli, and again drove to Goa. At Goa Karnataka border, my clutch plates started giving problem. I somehow managed to reach Goa and got my vehicle towed. Mahindra gave us a reason of ''Half Clutch Driving'' and charged us Rs 45500/- even after the vehicle is almost brand new and in warranty. I never faced any problem with my old car. 6. I have purchase xuv 500 june 2013 and 14000 km engine fail in 16 month compny repair this engine but not good after repair engine oil liquige proble and coolant liquige every two month since 15 time company service station but coud not solve this problem and last time repair and drive after 300 km coolant empty and engine burn and small so company contact and toing the car auth. Service center president motors surat she told the cluth burning and pay to 21000 to 50000 repairing cost . Is gadi me company ne ghatiya cultch use kiya hai . Pls dont purchase this car Car reg.
