Mahindra claims that the SUV is a world class SUV but the people selling the car are nonsense. The company owned car dealers in Mumbai have put up a special helpline number for XUV Sales. When you call that number a lady answers and talks as if a railway inquiry person would, zero product knowledge, zero communication skills, zero customer service and manners. I would have really like that the Mahindra management would have spent some time and money in tanning these people or putting the right staff for such a product.  World class cars are sold by giving the client an experience and a test drive should be welcomed as in most cases, not like the way this dealer reacts that a test drive will be given if possible and the company is doing a favour in giving one.

    I have had a somewhat similar experience with Swami Automobiles Chandigarh. Attitude on approaching them appears that of the clerk of gas agency in 1984 who booked your gas with extreme disdain. I hope Mahindra does roll out the winner it claims this is otherwise going by the experience of booking I am put off. I do not know whether the SUV will be as successful as the PR exercise involved in creating the hype appears to have been.

    Everyone has to remember one thing, Mahindra has no idea about the class of customers is expects to attract with this class of vehicle. They still think that they are selling tractors to farmers and I don't think that culture will ever change, considering the management is bent on squeezing every buck out of everything. Mahindra vehicles are known to be reliable and sturdy, but I think we are far from the Nehruvian days when people had no choice and no exposure, stuck with whatever crap the manufacturers of those days would belt out. Today's average Indian customer is refined, well traveled (internationally) and expects the best for his money. The Bajaj/Premier Padmini/Ambassador class of manufacturers need to wake up and realize this.

    very bad marketing. its like suspense movie. Nobody knows sure things about car waiting period and sales mangement. even dealers in city like pune don`t have even single car to see from distance.I was interested in xuv but at last by considering all above facts i decided to go for hero cycle which in can see and ride befor buying
