Mahindra XUV500: Don't Mess With it

The new giant SUV from M&M is Mahindra XUV500, which has global design and adds to the fleet of SUV present in India. But the major difference this SUV is that it has got looks to kill and mileage to allure the mob. The car is competing with its own sibling in the Indian SUV market i.e. Mahindra Scorpio. Other competitors of the SUV are Force Motors’ Force One, Tata Safari Dicor and Toyota Fortuner. To conclude, I can say that the closest competitor of the XUV500 is, Toyota Fortuner, which although is about Rs.9 lakhs to Rs. 10 Lakhs expensive than the XUV. The features also vary like the prices. While taking the test drive of the vehicle, I found it quite comfortable. The SUV is spacious and has a better leg room and head room than any other car in the same segment. Though the vehicle is an SUV, it poses a very good boot space. The looks of the car are very different with a jaw-shaped front grille. The door handles have also been changed that are paw shaped. The bold lines in the exterior design of the vehicle depict a pouncing Cheetah. These exterior features give it a look similar to a Cheetah in motion. Recently, when I took the vehicle for an adventure journey with my friends, I found that the mileage was close to 13 kmpl which was good enough. I was also amazed to see the SUVs’ top speed of 180 kmph on the ride.
