Before purchasing the XUV 500, I have gone through all types of SUV (Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Captiva, Tata Strome, Mahindra Scorpio, Ford Endeavour). Biggest plus point of this SUV is that it does not have any problem regarding its engine and transmission system. You can verify from all the posts and reviews available on the internet. You will not find any single post complaining about it. All problems are regarding it electronics, braking, and suspensions. As of braking, it has improved a lot from the prior version. All of its brake pads are totally redesigned. For me, it's an improvement, and there is no complaint of it as of now as I have already done 1700kms. The clutch is working fine and is lot smoother and lighter than the previous XUV version. As of now "happy". Only time can tell about this knowing Mahindra's performance. Infotainment is none of my business. What sucks is when you turn on the key, its display, and instrument cluster reminds me of Diwali. Again it's my opinion and varies from person to person. Cruise control and AWD are working fine. I have tried it 2-3 times. GPS with male voice is ok and is guiding properly. True value regarding performance comes through engine power as it is highly refined as compared to the Scorpio. Torque and acceleration are good and feels better. Vibrations are minimal with effective sound proofing. The worst thing as from my point of view is cheap plastic components used inside the car.
