Pros : Looks and drive
Cons : Rear bench
Took a test drive of the TUV 300 at India Garage Chennai yesterday! Impressive vehicle. The pickup is good enough for a 3-cylinder 85 BHP Motor. Twin turbo kicks in at 1000 RPM which gives the machine a good initial punch! The driving comfort is also good, the T8+ AMT comes loaded with the features. The AMT gear lever and knob look and feel upmarket. AMT was not available for a test drive though! The manual version was quite impressive and I feel it is a real value for money buy!
Flip side is the rear bench, Mahindra could have made it more comfortable and given a better/rich look and feel to the rear bench like armrest / thigh support, cushioning...etc....not a serious issue though can be done as an aftermarket fitment.
Ride comfort is good and is similar to the new Scorpio. It won't appeal to "only car type buyers", this machine is for the Jeep /SUV lovers.
Mahindra should come up with a 120 bhp, 4x4 motor.
I thought of buying first Diesel SUV which is indigenous. I was impressed by my friends reviews. Things changing after overturn reviews.

Mahindra should introduce more colours, dual tone colours to make it impressive. 15 inch wheels are a major drawback as far as looks are concerned. They should be replaced with 235/75/16 tyres.
