Too tough to depend on Mahindra's for their foreign JVs. I have already burnt my fingers with Logan. Mahindra delaerships easily try and ignore Logan customer and quote exorbitant spare and service costs and openly claim tht Logan not being their brand anymore is not their liability for service and maintenance. Who knows this Sangyong JV goes the same way..then who takes care of the vehicles!!

Ssanyong is now owned by Mahindra group, but has a bad financial history in past. This was sold twice and was never had good track record in Korea. Only M&M will have to adopt new policies that it does n't happen in future with Ssanyong motor Co. No strikes, No compromise with progress. All South Korea Motor companies had problem some where some time except Hundai. So let's see how efficiently M&M takes care or it can be disasterous for them even in India.

last one year having done research on Renault Koleos and Duster, Xylo 500, Ford, BMW, VW Passat, Tata Xenon and Aria. But this beauty is convincing me in the way of style, comfort, interior design as well as elegant outer features. in comparison to the BMW Suv, this is my choice to enjoy driving comfort as well as style for a long time. Thanks Mahindra

Now on May 2013 Mahindra is selling 12000 Ssangyong units a month. It is making a dent in the Toyota fortuner sales. Apart from available statistics this is also quite easily perceivable from the fact hat if you go to a Toyota dealer you don't have to wait that long anymore for any of the fortuner models. Interrior looks plush, Back seat isn't so comfy though, Equipments are state of the art, E-tronic manual gear shift on the Auto models is fun. top speed 194 km is breathe taking, 11.6 seconds from 0-100 wallops the racy sniggers like a piece of cake, Spped sensitive power steering gives you great manoeuverability. Ok it is not as imposing as fortuner, at least doesn't look so, but the price is absolutely enticing in comparison. ESP takes control of stability and brake, Great torque and power gives u a good feeling. Well After sales service depends a lot on dealer tradition. But Mahindra engaes one of there own person for supervision of quality service. Having said all that Globally Toyota is a much vaunted brand far ahead of the competition but models toyota sale in the price range is globally out dated. But then That is the plight of \Indian Car market...Ssangyong is a great effort, hope it will continue to excel..

Took a test drive of Rexton 7, auto at Chennai. Feels good. Dealer, however informed that manual version not available for test drive, SAD. Would like to test manual before the final decision.

Purchased Rexton RX5 as the proud first customer from VVC motors in jan 2012, problems started  six months after the purchase My clutch broke down four times in last 6 months, no one from the service centre ( VVC motors) are able to solve the issue as they are always in denial mode, my vehicle is left in servicing centre for almost three months in last 6 months with no one to help it.  even if i want to sell the vehicle  there is no one willing to buy this because of the clutch issues and servicing centre is unable to correct this. The description by the Customer Care  manager  Mr. Girish Daramoni is If the vehicle is not driven properly you can loose the clutch box in as early as 300-400 km of drive . Kindly see this as red alert in buying this vehicle as this warning is given by Mr. Girish Daramoni  and he will not able to help it if any issues occur in this regard I strongly recommend all the reviewers to prohibit buying this vehicle to save yourself in time and money This vehicle is new to India and kindly don't experiment in buying this vehicle like me  Dr. Srivenu CEO  Cygnus Institute of Gastroenterology Hyderabad 91-9866755573
