Mahindra Scorpio Getaway One of The Best Pick-Up Trucks

Pickup trucks are not everyone's cup of tea. These vehicles serve altogether a different purpose in day to day driving. Just 2 years back I was searching for a pick-up truck because I have to carry a lot of stuff to my office and from there my driver would deliver goods to various other destinations in city and outskirts. While searching, I also came across Tata Xenon and Bolero Camper and they are reliable too, but since I liked the Scorpio very much, the essence of owning a Scorpio really turned my decision in the favour of Scorpio Getaway. The exteriors of the car are of typical Scorpio and nothing to say much about it except the carrier or deck which is given at the rear. The interiors of this pick-up truck are relatively comfortable and definitely contemporary. The large flat bed at the rear has really helped me a lot to carry all my goods with ease. The energy to carry tons of loads comes from the 2.2L mHawk diesel motor that produces 115bhp and 277Nm of torque which is more than sufficient in my opinion. Moreover, the 4x4 functionality comes handy especially looking from the perspective of the road conditions of our country. And as I have to move a lot in the interior parts of the country from time to time, especially in monsoon where vehicles get muddy, the Getaway proves to be really a good companion. However, like any other car, this is also not immune to drawbacks. The vehicle is not a pure pick-up truck and instead built on Scorpio chassis, so some people may find handling issues in this vehicle. As long as you see from a pick-up truck perspective, it's not a bad vehicle but the moment you expect it to give you a passenger comfort, it would disappoint you. High-speed braking is not also good and the car can get easily out of control. And many safety aspects are lacking. So, if you are ready to ignore these drawbacks, I bet Scorpio Getaway will not disappoint you at all.
