Pros : almost everything, to know more read full review

Cons : somewhat low seating in the rear(not much of a problem)

Look and Style : Well , about the looks i dont really need to mention that the verna is an undisputed winner in its segment. It looks smashing from any angle you see it. It feels great when people all around you stop just to look at your car :P  Comfort: I bought it on 2nd oct 2011 & since then i have enjoyed its every ride. Handling is fine & there is nothing to complain about though the honda city handles better. The ground clearance is certainly better then the honda city. The quality of the interiors is very good, at par with the vento. And the exhaustive list of features is the iceing in the cake. The reverse sensors are very good and the screen very clear.  MUSIC SYSTEM: The audio quality is good , though i feel some extra bass would have been very good. The audio system in the honda city has a powerfull bass(the only reason i felt the lack). Otherwise you wont feel anything missing in the system, it is indeed decent. Front & rear defogger are nice features. :) The auto folding rear view mirrors:  These are very nice and adds to the comfort. you dont have to pull your hands out in traffic to close them :D Pickup: 128 horses in the verna will keep you delighted in every journey. The engine is powerfull and if you press the pedle you can feel it. Though the delivery of power is linear. ie you wont feel a big thrust when the turbo kicks in, still it feels nice. If you are upgrading Mileage: I am getting a mileage of about 17-18 km in the city & approx 21+ on the highway. The max mileage i ever got was 25 kmpl on the ldh- chd road ?(and i am not kidding). But 23 + is achieved only when driven sanely. still you will get around 15 in city and 20 on highway no matter how you drive it. Best Features : 1. One feature that needs to be mentioned is bluetooth connectivity. It works perfect and you never need to carry anything else with you except you phone :)   2 : Reverse parking camera and sensors : very helpfull especially in exteame wheather conditions, and trust me its nothing like that after market fitment. It is outstanding even at night, you see everything absolutely clear. 3. Sometimes i like to drive with the window open just to listen to the wistle sound the car makes when the turbo kicks in & gives u a feeling that you are driving something powerful. Feels really very good (personal opinion). Needs to improve: Some additional bass in the music system would be nice. Overall Experience: Its a great car to drive if you spend a lot of time behind the stearing wheel. The performance is great and with rising fuel costs , it does not burn a hole in your pocket. I have a honda city, though it is a great car to drive , still you will always be tensed about refuelling it every now and then, reason being the petrol engine and mileage of 13. So the verna is the pick of the segment.

Beautiful review.I have also purchased the Verna 1.6 SX VTVT which will be delivered to me on 19.01.2012.More enthuastic now to drive after reading this review as I was locked in between to purchase the Verna or Honda City, ultimately favouring the Verna for the extra HP and Accessories & features more than the Honda plus the prompt Services rendered by the dealer.

One cannot make out which ones better New Hyundai Verna or Honda City, where Verna has got a sporty stand out design with the cuts and creases at the right place, City is known for its simple and sophisticated outer look. As far as the comfort is concerned, they both are eagerly matched, but rear seat comfort and arrangement is still better with Honda City, engine performance too is equally well. So, one can pick any of the two.

    jatin |24 Jan,2012 12:41:28 AM

I bought 1.6 SX CRDI (diesel). I am getting a mileage of 17 in the city and 21 plus on highway.

Liked Jatin review. Am driving fluidic 1.6 Sx VTVT since 10th August 2011. Am just loving this car. Everyday I use my car between Muggapair-chennai and Sriperumbudur (total 60 km..to and fro) and economy is avg 14.5 km/l. Regularly get 18 km/l (generally 17 ) at some stretches between Chennai and Bangalore on NH4. Ground clearance is low but you get used to it. Today only... I realized that there should a feature that whenever you stop your car with AC ON....and then at restarting the car ..AC should not start working on its on. With so many features in the car...Am sure its not too much !!

    jatin |24 Jan,2012 12:45:37 AM

Yes the car is indeed good. The ground clearance may be low but better than most of the cars in the segment.

  • jerryjames |23 Jan,2012 05:46:10 PM

i am planning to buy one fluidic.what your opinion

    jatin |24 Jan,2012 12:43:52 AM

Very nice car. Fulfills your day to day requirements with ease and it wont burn a hole in your pocket. Go for it. :)

  • jerryjames |08 Feb,2012 09:11:33 PM

which one is better between 1.4 and 1.6.? which one is good?

    jatin |19 Feb,2012 07:16:22 PM

@jerryjames: 1.6 is better coz there are many features that are not in 1.4. plus 1.6 diesel is the version which is selling like hot cakes. Price difference is not much so overall 1.6 is worth buying

  • dr.kk |24 Feb,2012 02:31:40 PM

can u guide me for purchasing new sedan car.i m confused Between nissan and hyundai fluidic 1.6 petrol

    jatin |10 Mar,2012 11:14:22 PM

@ Dr.KK : Hyundai verna petrol 1.6 is best in diesel. However if you are looking for a petrol sedan then in my opinion honda city is better. The driving pleasure and handling of honda city is very good. But as i know you are interested in only nissan sunny or 1.6 verna, then you should test drive both of them and decide accordingly . Plus sunny costs considerably les than verna so if you like the drive then you should go for it.

  • Dr.Sivaraj Balajee.T |26 Mar,2012 03:22:57 PM

Hi everyone Im jus in search of a new car upgrading from a 3 yr old logan. Thought of verna linea n sunny.. Need ur suggestions..

  • sebastian cherian |13 Apr,2012 05:08:31 AM

hello friends i am planning to buy a diesel sedan now a days this verna is making big news pls give me some feedback about this car i am requesting to newfluidic verna owners because they have the experience .thanks

  • chirayu desai |04 May,2012 10:59:26 PM

hey frnd... I m confused btvn hyundai fludic verna & skoda rapid... Plz give ur suggestionss....

    jatin |11 May,2012 11:54:06 AM

Bro, Skoda rapid is also very good. The only difference is that spare parts are somewhat expensive when compared to a hyundai. Verna has a bigger engine and gives more mileage. Drive both the cars and decide accordingly.

  • jag |12 Jun,2013 12:50:26 AM
