Mixed feeling to own it

Mixed feeling to own it

I purchased the top end (SXo) petrol manual transmission in Nov 2013. Have done 36k km on it. It's definitely a looker with those daytime running LEDs. Quite comfortable and you can have untiring long journeys without any hassle. Fun to drive, but can only accommodate 4 people comfortably as the rear seats are designed for two only. The elevation in the middle makes it inconvenient for the third passenger. Handling of the car is good and it feels confident to drive even at speeds as high as 160-170 kmph. The maximum I could take it was up to 188 kmph when it started to feel a bit shaky. Cabin insulation is decent and it manages well to filter out the road noise. Ground clearance is on the negative side as the floor touches the road quite easily on the bumps, especially if the car is laden. Tyres on the top end model are low profile which means you have to be really careful while driving on uneven roads. Maintenance is expensive. Please don't go by the service costs as shown on websites. My last service was at 30k km and it cost me a hefty 18k, being a major service. Please go in for a bumper to bumper zero dep insurance as the parts of the car are really expensive! One headlight of my car costs 45k! Central ORVM, which adjusts the day n night automatically, would cost you 57K if damaged! Fuel economy is very poor in the city traffic of Delhi. If u drive decently, without revving up the engine too much, you will get 10kmpl approx. in the city. On highways with a steady speed of 100kmph, she can manage close to 15kmpl. But, if you are doing 120-130 kmph then it drops to 13kmpl. Barring the maintenance, I am overall quite satisfied with the car. Overall built quality of the car is pretty good. Hope the review helps. Cheers!
