Turbo Power: Hyundai Venue
Turbo Power: Hyundai Venue
I purchased the SX 1L manual variant of the Hyundai Venue. I will start this review by telling my dealership experience. As stated by many others, Hyundai excels in this field. The delivery experience was also very good with cake cutting as the whole staff was clapping. 10 on 10 in this field. Got the first service done and experience there was also very good. Now, let's come to the car. Look-wise, it looks like Hyundai Creta from the front quarter angle view. Completely different from the front and rear. The variant that I purchased, was the SX petrol manual as it was clearly the variant to buy as per the CarDekho variants explained article. Impressive build quality, paint quality and interior quality. The car feels solid. Coming to the interior, as stated earlier, I was impressed by the interiors of this car. The touch screen is not the same as the top-end model and neither is the instrument console. But looks good to me. Refinement is top-notch as expected from a Hyundai. The engine can rev up to 5000 rpm in neutral with the manual transmission. Coming to the seats, front seats are very supportive and comfortable. Rear seats are suited for only short-highted people. But rear-seat has AC vents and adjustable headrests but sadly, no center armrest. Coming to driving it, as the engine is turbocharged, produces diesel-like torque with petrol refinement. Some vibrations can be felt at some points of rpm but coming to 3 cylinder engines, this one is the most refined I've driven in a while. A very little amount of turbo lag can be felt in the manual transmission, but very little. Audio quality is also like any other Hyundai, bass focused but average. My car's body color is Dark blue with Khakhi color seats and feels very premium. As I drive myself most of the times, I would say it is the perfect car for me. Wrapping it up, If you want a flashy looking petrol car with upped driving position and nametag of 'SUV' and drive yourself most of the times in the city then you can consider it. But I would advise buying only 1L turbo petrol as 1.2L is very very underpowered for this and 1.4L diesel is not worth the premium. Thank you for reading this review. Greeting to all of the CarDekho team for giving me perfect advice about buying venue as my budget was 11 lakhs give or take a lakh.
