Hyundai is known for creating high-quality vehicles and Santro is no exception. The car has a legacy of its own, it created a storm when it was first launched in the late 90s. Now Hyundai has again resurrected this city car with plenty of changes inside and out, making it a truly contemporary vehicle. I really needed a small car as I was going to be married in January 2019. I contacted a lot of people regarding my new car including my friends and colleagues and as my budget was under Rs. 5 lakhs, most of them suggested me than newly launched Hyundai Santro. I really admired earlier Santro as my maternal uncle has been driving it for a long time. I quickly logged on to user reviews and video reviews online and found a majority of them giving a positive response to the car. Without any further ado, I took a test drive the next day and was fully satisfied with the performance. I opted for the Sportz variant which cost me Rs. 5.5 lakh on road. Talking about the car, it is simply amazing and this time around the carmaker has given some specials to make it stand out of the crowd. And I will honestly put my review in both pros and cons. Starting with the pros, the car has a smart, practical and well-built cabin which exudes quality and refinement for which Hyundai is known for. The car comes with 7-inch touchscreen infotainment powered by Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink with connectivity options such as navigation, Bluetooth, USB and Aux-In. Further, features such as rear aircon, steering mounted controls, all power windows, electrically adjustable outside door mirrors and remote fuel lid and tailgate opener, truly enhance the driving experience. I was really surprised to see Hyundai incorporating 4-cylinder engine that pumps out 69PS of power which is more than enough for city driving as well as occasional highway trips. The suspension also provides supple ride quality and neutral handling. And last but not least, Hyundai's problem-free ownership experience and after sales service is undeniably excellent. Now coming to the cons, the front end styling is a bit quirky that would polarize opinions. Another con is that there are no alloy wheels in the car, not even in the top end variant. Inside, the rear seat is a bit cramped for 3 people and only two adults can fit in comfortably. But overall, in my opinion, these cons didn't change my mind before buying this car. I am truly loving this car, it's a mind-blowing comeback by the company.
