Hyundai i20 Facelifted Model Not Much Exciting

Hyundai recently launched the face-lifted version of its popular premium hatchback i20. The updated model was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2018, but when the car was unwrapped, a lot of people were disappointed by not seeing many changes. In fact, the rear profile according to my liking has been ruined in this new update. The new tail lamp graphics and the re-profiled tailgate has given ugly looks as compared to the earlier version which looked like siblings Verna, Elantra, and Tucson. At the front, the car gets cascade styled grille stretching out at the corners. While this grille was unnecessarily included in the Grand i10, Xcent, and Verna, it looks pretty much decent in i20, especially the black finishing. Inside too, the changes are subtle. One will now see retro looking seats which look good. Other changes include new buttons and controls on the dashboard and steering, revised central AC vents and matte finishing on the touchscreen infotainment. At the rear, you also get folding down armrest and ISOFIX mounting points as a safety addition. Overall, the latest model seems to be a case of ?don?t fix if it ain?t broken?. And since the car has been getting minor updates over these years, especially in terms of the equipment list, this is the reason why this facelift doesn?t feel an exciting update.
