When my father was about to buy a new car, his friend told him about the amazing, nice and elegant looking HYUNDAI I20 I-GEN... After thinking very much my father bought HYUNDAI I20 I-GEN MAGNA... We took the delivery on 4th of February, 2012 and completed more than 18,000 Km. Here are some thoughts... Positives: The looks. It definitely is a head turner. Everything about the car has a premium feel to it. The rear parking camera is one of the most important features. Works like a charm. The car is so silent, doesn't feel as if I am driving a below 7 lakh INR. 6 gears in the diesel variants are a boon. The car, being in run-in period, I haven't gone over 150 km/h yet. But the car cruises at 1.5k RPM easily at 80 KM/H in 5th gear and you hardly hear a sound in the car. The pickup is really great. And to compliment it the breaks are good too. The DRLs enhance the looks of the car. On the negative I see people asking me to turn off the light during daylight. The gear shift indicator does help a lot especially for new drivers. Currently, I am getting an overall average of above 17 km/l, 70% highway travel and 30% bumper to bumper traffic with AC on 100% of the time. Configure the rear seats as you require. The 60:40 split The arrangement allows the i20 driver to adjust the seats to satisfy the needs for more capacity, including a trunk capacity of 295? even when the rear seats are in use. Imagine how much space you would have when the rear seats are all folded down.   Electro Chromic Mirror automatically reduces glare for safe night-time driving by sensing headlight intrusion from trailing vehicles. A display embedded in the mirror shows what's happening in the rear while reversing the vehicle. The sensor in the rear bumper detects objects not visible while reversing the car and sounds a warning if the car gets too close to them. The 1.2 litre Kappa dual VTVT engine comes with separate VTVT assembly for intake and exhaust valves and the technology optimizes the opening and closing of valves for improved performance, mileage and reduced emissions. ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) with EBD ABS prevents wheel lockup during panic braking situations especially on slippery surfaces while EBD distributes brake pressure efficiently on all wheels to prevent skidding and to retain car stability and sterility. Auxiliary audio input jack and USB plug accommodate most types of personal music players. The unique digital multi-information display in the center of the dashboard reveals trip distance, current audio selection, outside temperature, time, calendar and engine running time. The Smart key facilitates keyless ignition and the remote opening of the doors and the boot.
