Hyundai Elantra - 1.8l Petrol

Look and Style: If you love Fluidic Design, it is best in Elantra than in Verna or Sonata. It has a fantastic front and side look. I love the way the rear looks as well. But i guess the opinions are mixed when you ask multiple people. The car is a definite Style Statement.  As the tagline goes, its the signature of success. You are guaranteed to see many heads turning on road. Comfort Hyundai Elantra is very comfortable and i would say in its segment only Toyota Corolla Altis matches this comfort. Neither Jetta, nor Laura nor Cruze can give you this comfort. Never underestimate the ventilated seats provided by Elantra. If you are evaluating cars in D1 segment, this will play a significant role in choosing. I took a test drive in the noon in scorching sun. The AC was turned on and within 15 seconds i could feel the coolness. And then i switched on the seat ventillation. I guess that was the moment i decided to buy Elantra. The seat adjustments are 10-way electronic and hence helps you to get THAT EXACT position. Lumbar support is available. Steering has both the adjustments. The steering has so many controls - which i love. It has cruise control, Bluetooth option, and audio controls. In my i10, (my previous car), i have always felt bad whenever my father or wife or kid ask me to switch off the AC because i will need it. I dont have that problem anymore in Elantra since it has Dual Zone Climate Control. And, another problem i wont face in Elantra is that i dont have to worry about AC in the rear seats. This has a rear AC vent that can be closed if not required. The driver seat gets anti-pinch windows. The ORVM controls are electronic and has the provision to fold the mirror with a button click. The way it folds is also awesome. Reversing teh car is a pleasure with parking sensor + parking camera that assists the driver with a picture on rear mirror. The back seat is awesome with plenty of legroom, backseat pockets, centre armrest with audio controls, storage space and mobile charging socket. The boot is very spacious. The car locks itself once you pick up speed and unlocks if there is any impact. The car comes with alloy wheels and silica tyres. The noise levels inside the car is next to nothing and the drive is so smooth. (Not sure about diesel variant). Overall, no car in the segment can beat its comfort. Pickup The petrol version comes with 1.8 litre engine and the pick up is great. During the test drive and even after i never felt the turbo lag. Mileage Mileage is 11 kmpl in city and 13 in highways. But if you are going for a car in this segment, i dont think it matters so much like the comfort and style. Best Features Ventillated Seats, Dual Zone Climate Control, Rear seat centre armrest contains audio controls, Rear AC Vent, Cruise Control, 6 Airbags for Safety, VSM - Vehicle Stability Management, 10-way Electronic Seat Adjustment, So many small pockets throughout the car for storage, Solar Glass that filters UV and reduces the heating by a small percentage. Needs to improve Can provide Foldable rear seats, Distance to Empty and Mileage indicator, Hill Assist Control is provided only in Automatic. Door Puddle lamps can be given. Sunroof - Even my i10 has it. I will sorely miss this. Overall Experience Hyundai Elantra is a great buy.  Hyundai Elantra is value for money that gives excellent comforts and a great smooth ride.
