Honest review of Freestyle Diesel
Honest review of Freestyle Diesel
I was one of the first ones to buy Freestyle Diesel. I bought Titanium Plus in Absolute Black col. I went straight booking this car as owned other Fords. The car was delivered on 14th July. I have covered 17000 kms so far. yes, 17K Kms! pros: 1.Nippy and Torquey Diesel. The Diesel has ample power without much turbo lag to do city drives and highways. 2. New gearbox is slick too use and offers good city drive ability compared to Figo that comes with old gear box. 3. AC is quite good. Max chill option is suitable for Indian summers. 4. Steering is precise and offers great feedback. Overall enthusiasts will love driving this. 5. High GC of 190 is very good to counter bad roads and speed breakers. 6. Sync 3 is very good and intuitive to use but sound quality from stock speakers could have been better. 7. Most important, the car is giving 17-18 in city use and 20-22 in highways. If someone drives sedately, they can expect 24-25 kmpl in four lane highways. 8. Very cheap car to maintain. The spares cost are well below Maruti. cons: 1. The suspension set up for occasional off-road drives can cause bumpy rides in rural roads. In really bad stretches, the car shines. 2. lack of rear head rest in my car, Ford has added now. I feel cheated. 3. Interiors and build could have been a little better. 4. Long clutch travel.
