Ford Figo - Powerful Hatchback You Will Love to Own
I am witness to the fact how previous Ford Figo was a turnaround car for the brand in India. I am always a big fan of Ford cars but since we own a 2005 Swift model, it was hard for me to convince my dad to change the Swift for the Figo. But after driving the Swift for a long time, we finally decided to buy new Ford Figo in 2016. Ford vehicles are known for their stylish exteriors, innovative interiors as well as powerful and fuel-efficient engines. The new Ford Figo hatchback is nothing short of excellence, especially in terms of performance which I will talk later. The next generation model is designed keeping in mind the One Ford philosophy. Car shares it’s some of the design cues with Figo Aspire and both the cars follow kinetic design 2.0 language. Exteriors of the car are distinct from the older version, front fascia features hexagonal radiator grille that resembles the Aston Martin design. The side profile looks sportier while the rear part looks neat with small leaf-like tail lamps. Inside too, Figo shares same instrument panel with Aspire, featuring 4.2-inch display and music system with SYNC2.0 multimedia. The hatch has a lot of storage space for better convenience. For better safety, the car gets driver-side airbags, while top trims come with ABS-EBD. Now coming to the performance, I chose the 1.5L 100bhp diesel which is powerful, frugal and loaded with the fun-to-drive aspect. The power delivery of this engine is seamless with the mind-blowing torque of 215Nm. The engine sways in city exactly what it does on the highways. Till date, Figo has been giving a tough fight to Volkswagen Polo in its league and there are many good reasons to consider it over Swift. With good power and one of the most fuel-efficient engines out there, all I can say is that I am truly satisfied with my Figo’s performance.
