Ford Ecosport has been the best bet that Ford had to offer after its Fiesta and Ikon. I own a Ford Ecosport (Trend) and with my ownership of over 50,000 km, the car has always impressed me. I particularly liked the shape of the Urban SUV the most as compared to the other competition. I had my eyes on the car since the time I had seen it the first time at the Auto Expo. The Futuristic style and design of the Ecosport make it stand apart from the crowd.   The 1.5 L TDCi engine feels very refined and does its job well too.Till 2000 rpm, the engine lacks the punch of a typical diesel car. It has a very small audible grunt. But then as it crosses the 2000 rpm mark, there is a new character waiting to be unleashed. The diesel engine gets LIVE in action. As the engine speeds increases, the car becomes more energetic. Especially after 2500 rpm, the engine does not let you down even for a minute. However, they could have improved the braking of the vehicle at rough roads.The car goes completely out of control. Need a lot of improvement on that front. The power steering is responsive and does it's job well in the city.   The driving position of this car is very impressive. The rear passenger area is decently spaced if not very generous. It also offers different arrangements to adjust the seat. However, the rear seats are very low on comfort and want more cushioning. Rear passengers will always complain about this. The legroom is cramped, and this could have been improved. Even the rear windows are very small and make the whole seat very narrow.   With regards to being almost a 10 lakh car, the infotainment system provided is not up to the mark. The display screen is too small and is pointing upwards making it very difficult to view.   Lastly the mileage. The company claims much higher average, but in reality, it doesn't give you more than 12 KMPL in city driving and around 17 KMPL on the highway, which is just decent concerning a diesel car.   I have also got my SUV modified by getting the standard headlamps replaced by a set of custom projector headlamps with signature DRL. Also, the footsteps have the logo lights that light up when someone opens the door. All these accessories add to the style quotient of the SUV.   Overall a good buy! Thoroughly happy with My Beast!
