Pros : Plenty of safety features and advanced interiors

Cons : Mileage could be better and price can be competitive

The fully owned Indian subsidiary of General Motors, has launched the facelift of its most popular sports utility vehicle, which is known as Chevrolet Captiva 2.2 MT. The SUV is only for the higher economic class of people and is a perfect car for the Indian road and weather conditions. I have been waiting for this SUV since a long time and finally I had manage to take a test drive. After sitting inside the cabin it feels like a dream come true, because of its well designed and advanced interior cabin. It is powered by 2.2-litre diesel engine, which is mated with a manual transmission gear box. The vehicle gives a very smooth and proficient driving experience with its awesome features for the braking and handling.   The SUV, which has the displacement of 2231cc, is manage to churn out the maximum power output of 184bhp at 3800 rpm and the maximum torque of 424Nm at 2000 rpm, which is quite good for the Indian road. Because of its powerful engine, it is capable to deliver a very healthy and decent fuel economy. The vehicle returns the mileage of 11.3 kmpl in the city and 14.6 kmpl on the highway, which is good enough. The company has gifted this an advanced music system, which is soothing and played good music while touring. It includes, CD player, Mp3 player, radio, speakers in front and rear and many other such aspects, which is currently available in any luxurious SUV. Apart from these, there are a powerful air conditioner with a heater and air quality control unit, which helps in cooling the interior cabin quickly. The exterior of this stylish sports utility vehicle is also very inviting and it attract the buyers very easily. In short, we can say it seems to be a very good SUV and purchasing it would return the complete value for money.
