Polo 2013-2015 GT TDI Review

Volkswagen, the German automaker has rolled out the new variant in its hatchback series Volkswagen Polo. This new variant is the more powerful and efficient version and it is equipped with a 1.6-litre turbo diesel engine. This new model has been introduced with good set of comfort and utility features and with a premium interior design. It is barely four months, since the GT TSI version of Volkswagen Polo was launched and now the Volkswagen Polo GT TDI version, which has been introduced with a very reasonable price tag. The company says that this new powerful diesel mill offers a maximum mileage of about 19.78 Kmpl, which is considerably attractive keeping in mind about the engine and its power. With this, Volkswagen has now managed to offer its Indian customers with unique motor solutions. This new variant is powered by 1.6-litre TDI diesel mill has the ability to produce a power of about 103.6bhp at 4400rpm and yields 250Nm of torque at 1500 to 2500rpm. On the other hand, the company hasn't made any change to the exterior or interior design of this hatch. The only cosmetic change you can find out on this new variant is the GT badging on the front grille along with TDI badging on the boot lid. The rest of the design of the hatch remains entirely the same as the other variants.

Exteriors :

As far as the exteriors are concerned, the all new Volkswagen Polo GT TDi diesel trim has been has the same body design and exterior elements like the rest of its variants. The only update thing you can notice on this new trim will be the TDI badging on the boot lid and the GT badging on the front radiator grille. The front facade of this powerful diesel version is very aggressive wherein you can notice the smoked style headlight cluster that adds bolder elements to the frontage. In the middle there is a chrome radiator grille fitted with GT badging and a company logo. The design of the bumper is bolder which is designed with a large perforated air dam and fog lights. This GT TDI diesel trim is blessed with 15 inch Estrada alloy wheels that adds a distinct appeal to the side view of the vehicle. The wheel arches and the doors has got expressive design that makes it look muscular. While the door handles and the ORVMs have been painted in body color. The rear end of this new variant also remains the same as the existing variants but the TDi badging is the only cosmetic update that you can find on the boot lid.

Interiors :

When it comes to the interior cabin, Volkswagen Polo GT TDi has got a very stylish wherein the seats are offered in dual-toned color scheme. The company has used superior Milan Titanschwarz fabric upholstery inside the cabin that makes the entire interior plush and elegant. The steering wheel and the gearshift knob has been wrapped in leather, while the steering wheel is equipped with several audio control functions on it. There are number of utility and comfort functions incorporated inside this hatchback including air conditioner, multi-purpose console, multifunction steering wheel and several others.
