Apart from this - Toyota is expected to launch the all-new Fortuner in India. Under the hood, the upcoming Fortuner will have the same set of diesel engines as offered in the Innova Crysta. One can choose from either a 2.4-litre diesel mill that churns out 150PS of power and 343Nm of torque, or a 2.8-litre diesel motor that produces 174PS of power and 360Nm of torque. It is possible that Toyota will tune the engines differently to get more power for the heavy SUV. Like in the Innova Crysta, transmission duties for the new Fortuner will be handed over to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The next generation Toyota Fortuner is expected to be launched in early or mid 2016. The manufacturer might reveal it in the Indian Auto Expo that will take place in February 2016. You can set the launch alert for this car or you could follow our news section to stay updated on this.
