Hi Kawaljeet Singh,
No, Toyota Corolla is not a under powered car. With slight press on accelerator paddle, the car throttles with a great force. The petrol model gets a 1.8-litre engine which works fine enough to produce a power of 138bhp while the 1.4 diesel engine develops a power of 87 bhp.
Its just not about the power mate! Toyota Corolla features elegantly designed spacious interior and high safety features that include dual airbags, ABS and Brake Assist. The exterior is aerodynamically sound and has minimum air fraction. That being said, yes you can enjoy all these features in Honda City with a bit cheaper price. The diesel engine gives a mileage of 26kmpl which is best in class. The car has all the bells and whistles to impress the young as well as old generation. So its up to you that which car you looking for and how much you are willing to spend. Toyota Corolla is a decent buy, and there is nothing wrong with the car, but if you budget is around Rs 10 to 11 lakh, you should go with Honda City and if its between 14 to 15 then go with Toyota Corolla.
