What type of vehicle the Tata Indicruz is and by when it will be launched in India
Hi, I wish to buy a Diesel Automatic car. Most important things that i am looking for are : - Reliability - Good After Sales Service - Good Ride and Handling - Spacious Cabin. I can compromise on boot space. - Decent Ground clearance I feel Tata Zest meets most of the requirements above. Plus it fits beautifully in my budget. The other Diesel Automatic cars are much more expensive. However, i am not sure of the Reliability and After sales part. Please suggest.
It is great that you wish to buy a new car, Tata Zest is indeed a great choice as it offers you best in class torque and features. Talking about reliability, it has been quite a while now since Tata Zest has been introduced to the market and no issue related to engine, mileage or nearly anything have been reported till now, also the engine performs well and delivers satisfactory figures. After sale service is average due to sparse service network.

Nothing can be said as of now. The Zest is really a brilliant car and a good attempt from Tata to target the Compact Sedan segment in India. Tata is planning to launch the Kite Sedan soon, but till now, there is no official announcement made on the launching date. So, we will not be able to commit if they will stop the production of Tata Zest or not.
There is no denying that the entry-level sedan segment a.k.a. the sub-compact sedan segment is amongst the most competitive segments in India.
Tata Zest Quadrajet 1.3 XT vs Honda Amaze VX i-DTEC Comparison:
Tata Zest: Open the door and you are welcomed by an elegant and well-designed dashboard. A fresh design, dual-tone colour theme, chrome detailing and a stylish steering wheel make it the best looking Tata car.
Honda Amaze: Well, this car is as plain inside as it is on the outside. This car has been packaged brilliantly and offers the most spacious cabin.
Tata Zest: It is powered by a Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine with VGT (variable geometry turbo), which puts out 89bhp and 200Nm. Out of the two cars, Zest offers better ride quality. It is fun around corners and its very well set-up suspension handles almost all potholes and undulations with ease.
Honda Amaze: When it comes to power, with a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine under the hood, the Amaze develops close to 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. It feels peppier than the Zest despite similar power figures. The i-DTEC offers almost no turbo-lag and it pulls like no other car in the segment.
Reliability & After Sales Service:
Over the last 15 years, Honda has undoubtedly proven that it makes extremely reliable & dependable cars, while Tata has proven to be the exact opposite. So over the next 5-7 years if you chose the Amaze, then you are statistically likely to get a far better, hassle free ownership experience as well as better resale price when you eventually decide to upgrade.
Fuel Efficiency: Amongst the diesel powered cars, the Amaze has an ARAI certified mileage of 25.8 kmpl compared to Zest's 23 kmpl.
Verdict: Amaze is technically superior as well as better value for money than Zest.
