In automobile mechanics, the Quadrajet is a four barrel carburetor made by the Rochester Products Division of GM that was widely used in General Motors motor vehicles until 1990. Actually Quadra jet is a 4 barrel is an air valve carburetor which senses air flow requirements of the engine and gauges fuel to those particular requirements. The Quadra jet comprises of 3 basic systems. They are idle circuit, primary circuit and the secondary circuit. The first circuit is when engine speed is fairly constant at a high RPM to pull a decent diverse vacuum, the primary circuit includes the power enrichment system and secondary circuit is vacuum operated which is an air valve that will only open as per the actual requirement of the motor.
