Hi it is not correct that diesel engine require more maintenance, the technology has changed now, If fact if you use tata indica for personal use the maintenance cost is very less ,it is less the santro and swift , i have driven tata indica v2 turbo for 4yrs , 60000 kms , i never face any problem ,i have only changed engine oil , air filters and oil filters . and for your information in Hundai cars and maruti cars the wheel alingment goes out very frequently which eats your tayer with in 25-30k , but in tata car the wheel alingments nver goes out, what ever the road condition , i have driven 60K the tyres will run anather 1ok, in swift the clutch plat gose out every 15k , but in indica the clutch plate life is 60K and beyond .the Ac is very effective , the suspension is very good . go for turbo version , it will give you 69 ps power. only problem with indica is that the interior plastic is very cheap .

Hi Nabin, yes any vehicle in Diesel Variant need more maintenance than the Petrol Variant and Diesel engine has a more sound than the petrol engine. If you are looking for Tata Indica V2 it was best but think of that if you have long journeys, more trips and for Office purpose than you can go for Tata Indica V2 and only for your personal use than you can better go for Diesel version of Maruti Swift this is also having Good Features and Good in Mileage. The Maruti Swift Diesel Price starts from Rs. 468,523 to Rs. 520,432 and for Tata Indica V2 price starts from Rs. 334,411 to 363,816. For more details please click on those links.
