Bought a RXL diesel Duster 10days back. The mileage, which is claimed to be 19 kms/l is only around 12kms/l. I checked up with the dealer for which i was told that it can be tuned up when it is brought for service after 2000 kms. I am now wondering whether to drive till 2000 kms at the consumption rate of 12kms/l. I bought this car mainly because it is from the SUV segment and its mileage claimed is awesome as an SUV

Answers for this Question
Hi, The mileage of the car depends on various factors like your driving style, roads, traffic etc. The city mileage of the car is relatively low than the claimed figure and as your car is new, we will advise you to run it upto 50-60 kmph only because your car is in engine break-in period. Your dealer is right, once after 2000 kms you will notice an increase in the mileage.
