Anti Lock Brakes(ABS) are a very useful safety system which prevents the wheels from locking while on sudden braking. It prevents the vehicle from skiding espesially in slippery conditions. ABS enabled cars have a kind of thread pattern in their axles, which is engaged with a sensor. When we press the brake pedal, a control unit recives feedback from the sensor and act according to it. ABS is activated if the vehicle is moving above 30 or 40 Kmph and suddenly applies brake.

ABS stands for Anti-Lock Braking System. It prevents uncontrolled skids due to sudden braking, especially on slippery roads by releasing wheels and ensure minimum stopping distance.
