Hi, Thanks for your question, If you are looking for hatchback model car then just wait for 1 month as Volkswagen is going to launch its B+ segment vehicle for Indian roads named as Volkswagen Polo. This car is expected in range of Rs 4lacs to Rs 5lacs. Or you can go for Maruti Swift/ Hyundai i10. These are good vehicles with less maintenance, good in mileage and good performance . Consider these options only if you have planned to purchase soon. If you are looking for Sedan model then go for Tata Manza. This is available within the range of Rs 5.5lacs and it is a basic model variant. As your move in city roads is around 300kms monthly then you should go for petrol variant as it requires less maintenance. Thank You

Since you move only 300 kms in city mileage probably isnt as important. In this budget you can go for a big car as well as highe end small car. Given the service and low maintenence cost Maruti definetely is a good option. Maruti Swift Dzire will fit the budget and is great car too.

  • Sir/Ma'am, I am keen to buy a new car. Keeping in mind the performance and features will Hyundai Creta be a better buy than Tata Nexon? The difference of cost may not be kept in mind - just consider the functional aspects of the vehicle please. With a monthly running of less than 600kms will petrol be a better bet? I would value your views.

    Verdict:

Both the siblings are backed by Maruti Suzuki’s after-sales network and support. The Ignis’s design makes it stand out, but it may not appeal to everyone. The cabin is spacious and practical for four adults whereas the Swift name has gained its popularity for all the right reasons. It’s a stylish, easy and fun to drive hatchback and feels quite well made too.

The only drawback is it’s average cabin space and boot volume, which mean it isn’t the most practical car in the segment. It is best suited to individual buyers or small families with young children.

It's good to hear that you wish to buy a car & thank you for making us a part of it.

    Please find highlights of Nexon.

    1. The top-of-the-line Tata Nexon gets features like 6.5-inch ‘ConnectNext’ HD touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, multiple drive modes (Eco, City and Sport), projector headlamps with daytime running lights, an 8-speaker sound system (4 speakers + 4 tweeters) and automatic climate control with rear AC vents.

    2. Safety features in the Nexon include dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts and ABS with EBD and CSC (corner stability control) as standard.

    3. It comes with 1.5-litre Turbo Charged Diesel Engine (108.5bhp / 260Nm) & 1.2-litre Turbo Charged Engine (108.5bhp / 170Nm).

Coming to the query, Tata’s debut sub-4m SUV gets a turbocharged petrol and diesel engines with a standard 6-speed manual. It is all new engine & has been added for the first time. Both have been developed by Tata in-house, and while the petrol engine is exactly a turbocharged version of the Tigor’s engine, the diesel engine is completely new.

This has to be Tata’s best diesel engine till date, and it can very well be considered one of the better diesel engines in the compact car space.

The Nexon gets three drives modes – Sport, Eco and City, and all the three vary the character of the engine so much so that you can actually make use of them wisely. So, you need to worry about it & can place your hard-earned money on it.

It not only undercuts its direct rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport, but also popular cross-hatches like the Honda WR-V and the Hyundai i20 Active.

If you will be driving around 50-70kms.(Approx.) a day, we will suggest you to go with diesel variant. Otherwise, if your driving will be less, than you can opt for petrol variant.
