Hi. I am planning to buy Honda City (Petrol) but am confused between a manual transmission and a CVT. Whose performance is more?

Hi Govind, it depends on what aspects or characteristics you would use to judge the better option.

Modern, computer-managed CVTs are generally the most fuel-efficient option, and even get better fuel economy than manual transmissions these days. This would have been unheard of just a decade or two ago!

Manual transmissions offer much greater control over the vehicle's driving dynamics. If you are an enthusiast, then there is really no substitute for the driving experience and level of control over the vehicle that a manual transmission can offer. If you are more like the average driver who simply wants to get from one place to another in the most efficient and comfortable way possible, go with the CVT.
