Thank you for trusting in our services & writing to us.

Both the options you've selected are indeed great options and stand apart in their own way.

Tata Safari Strome has a good road presence and offers generous amount of space for occupants in the first and second row.

The Mahindra Scorpio is one of the most popular SUV's sold in India and has aggressive styling.

As far as mileage is concerned, Scorpio (Intelli Hybrid S10 4WD) has a mileage ranging between 11.5kmpl and 15.4kmpl while Safari Storme (VX Varicor 400) offers a fuel efficiency of 10.8 - 14.1kmpl. These are claimed figures and will vary as per one's driving style.

Talking about performance, figures are better with Tata Safari Strome(154bhp@4000rpm) which reflect better power & pickup as compared to Mahindra Scorpio(120bhp@4000rpm).

    Verdict:

Here, Mahindra Scorpio is VFM(Value for Money) car as compared to Tata Safari Strome as it has features like Automatic Climate Control, Air Quality Control, Cruise Control, Navigation System, Voice Control, Touch Screen, Follow Me Home Headlamps and many more which are missing out in Safari.

  • Is New Maruti Suzuki Dzire AMT (AGS) as good as Maruti Suzuki Ciaz AT? Please advise.

Published On :2017-06-05 16:51:49.0 By Arun

Thank you for trusting in our services and writing to us.

The Maruti Dzire's petrol AMT has been very well tuned and is quite intuitive/smooth. We will have to run a back to back test to see if it's as smooth as the Ciaz AT but on other counts, it's a great gearbox.

Thank you for showing the trust in our services and writing to us.

Technically it is possible but we do not recommended it as the engine number will have to be updated with the local RTO, which won't be the easiest.

  • wht is the difference between mannual transmission and automatic transmission ?

Published On :2017-06-12 10:30:16.0 By Arun

Thank you for showing the confidence in our services and we appreciate your keenness to know about the difference between Automatic and Manual Transmission.

    Please find our inputs below:

Automatic Transmissions: The main advantage of an Automatic Transmission is the driving comfort as it does not have a clutch pedal. Once you start driving an Automatic Transmission car in traffic jams you realize what you have been missing all these years. You don't have to change gears or use the clutch every few seconds in an automatic car.

Another big advantage of Automatic Transmission is that it will not roll backwards on an uphill slope when you stop and then want to move forward. In a Manual Transmission you have to be an expert to avoid the car from going backwards when you stop and start on an upwards slope.

Manual Transmissions: A Manual Transmission vehicle has a gear stick which allows you to physically shift the transmission into the proper gear. It also includes a clutch pedal which unlocks the gears so you can safely shift it into the next gear. It is less expensive to purchase and have better fuel efficiency.

Basically, Automatic Transmissions are easier to use and more comfortable for the driver, while Manual Transmission vehicles are less expensive and more involved.

In order to check for the driving comfort, we recommend you to take a test drive of the car.
