while on long drive after running 2 hours i stopped for fuel at std pump. after refueling my car could not start then i had given 4-5 times ignition but i suddenly came to know that my car was cranking but could not start. at the same time my cars dashbourd was showing all o.k. signs. after half an hour i again cranked my car it was started. i faced this kind of problem twice in one month so i approched to maruti authorised dealer he checked thoroughly but he could not rectify the problem. so please discuss the problem.

Unfortunately, you need the technician there to test for proper spark and fuel when the problem actually occurs. So you may have to leave it with the garage for several days so that the technician can actually drive it under various conditions to cause the problem to happen. The spark tester below would be used to test for spark when the engine was cranking ok, but not starting. Also, you can spray starting fluid into the engine air intake to see if you have a fuel related problem. Once the technician knows whether it's spark or fuel related, he can concentrate on the related components. This all assumes your regular maintenance items including ignition and emissions tuneups are up to date.
