Hello Team, I'm planning to buy a CNG PETROl car. I found Wagaon R and Celerio which seems to be fit in my budget. I took test drive of both the cars ie. WagonR LXI and Celerio VXI Green(Manual Gear). What I found are as below. 1. Gear box is little bit hard in Wagon R than Celerio. 2. Pick up is awesome in Celerio than Wagon R. 3. While driving Engine sounds little bit noisy in Wagon R than Celerio. 4. Interior spacing is almost same in both. 5. K10 in Wagon R and K10(K-Next) in Celerio. Experts, can you confirm me whether I'm true on above those points. I'm planning to buy between of them and still confused as Celerio is totally new in AMT Segment into the market and wagon R has lot of feedback about its performance. Would some of you please assist me to decide in which way I can move on. Regards, Rohit

Answers for this Question
All three cars use the 1.0-litre three cylinder engine, however the Celerio's engine has been tweaked a bit for better performance and mileage hence your observations are correct.

Thank you for trusting in our services & writing to us.

120mm is the laden ground clearance. As per new ARAI regulations, ground clearance of a vehicle is measured with load of passengers, fuel and driver. Unladen ground clearance should be around 165mm.

Maruti Celerio has 20 variants which include petrol, diesel and CNG as its fuel type.

"XI" indicates that car is equipped with a petrol engine and "DI" indicates that car is equipped with a diesel engine.
    LXI stands for base variant.
VXI means it is a full option car.
ZXI means added featured car along with full option like ABS, Airbags etc.
AT means that the car comes with auto gear shift transmission only.
Green means it is associated with a CNG fuel kit.

If you see LDI, VDI, ZDI - it is a car with respective features and the difference is that it replaces XI with DI which means that it is a diesel car.
In general, throughout the range, Maruti nomenclature shows that the LXI/LDI are the lowest versions loaded with just the bare minimum. The VXI/VDI are the next that come in the line with some added creature comforts and cosmetic beauty. The ZXI/ZDI are the top end variants loaded to the boot with all the possible cosmetics and comfort equipments that can be packed into the car.
Optional means that the respective variant has some additional features in comparison to its original variant.
