When will Tata Motors start bookings of Tata Nano
I am planning t buy a car - a sedan. Budget 20-23 lakhs(on road). I would be living in Kolkata. Can you suggest which make and model I should be opting for: VW Jetta or Elantra or even Ciaz or City even through they are below the price point of my budget.
All the four cars that you have shortlisted comes with two groups. Ciaz and City is from one group (which comes in 12-15 lac) and Jetta and Elantra is in a different group.
Now, there can be a good competition within the group but comparing these two groups with each other will not be good.
Taking your budget into consideration, the best comparison will be between the Jetta and Elantra. Yes, you have to compromise a bit with the mileage but the luxury feel, features and performance you will be getting is at par.
VW Jetta is well known for it classy interior and strong build quality. The car will amaze you with its performance and power delivery. Moreover, you will need to compromise on the maintenance cost and a bit of features.
On the other hand, Hyundai Elantra comes with perfect fit and finish. The exteriors are brilliant. The best thing is, it comes with an affordable maintenance and hassle free after sale services.
We took a comparison of the top model of both cars in diesel (Which will fit in your budget). Now, both the cars have different engines and have different stats of power output and torque. Jetta is on the higher side.
The Jetta is more of performance and luxury whereas Elantra is a feature rich car and has better practicality.
Rest, we would recommend you to take a test drive of both the cars before making the final decision and click here to check the detailed comparison.
Hi, I wish to buy a Diesel Automatic car. Most important things that i am looking for are : - Reliability - Good After Sales Service - Good Ride and Handling - Spacious Cabin. I can compromise on boot space. - Decent Ground clearance I feel Tata Zest meets most of the requirements above. Plus it fits beautifully in my budget. The other Diesel Automatic cars are much more expensive. However, i am not sure of the Reliability and After sales part. Please suggest.
It is great that you wish to buy a new car, Tata Zest is indeed a great choice as it offers you best in class torque and features. Talking about reliability, it has been quite a while now since Tata Zest has been introduced to the market and no issue related to engine, mileage or nearly anything have been reported till now, also the engine performs well and delivers satisfactory figures. After sale service is average due to sparse service network.

With the facelift, the new Rapid now comes with sharp and chiselled body lines that run throughout the length of the car. Also, it receives new bumpers at both ends. The front grille design, flanked by new headlamp units, follows the brand’s current design language that can be seen on the Octavia and Superb.
Under the hood, Skoda will continue to offer the Rapid with both petrol and diesel engine options. For the petrol variant, the company is likely to continue using the same 1.6-litre motor without any changes. However, for the diesel variant, the car will come with the updated 1.5-litre engine that currently has been introduced in the Ameo diesel. The engine features a slightly larger turbocharger that has been locally sourced and ups the power output to 110PS. Transmission duties will be handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox for both petrol and diesel variant while a 7-speed DSG gearbox will be available only in the diesel variant.
On the price front, expect the Rapid facelift to carry a price tag that will be higher than the current pricing. For more information, click here "Facelifted Skoda Rapid Launching On November 3".
