In the Hydraulic power steering a rotary vane pump driven by the vehicle's engine offers the pressure. On the other hand, the motor driven power steering uses an electric motor to reduce effort by providing steering assist to the driver of a vehicle. The electric power steering is a new generation system which is comparatively costlier than its motor driven counterpart.
