Hi Aman, Choosing one among diesel and petrol version totally depends on your needs and requirements. If the monthly running of your car is more than 1000 kms than a diesel engine will be the best option for you as the high maintenance cost of a diesel engine can only be compensated if the monthly running of your car is more than 1000km . Hyundai is known for its diesel engines and the Verna's 1.4 crdi engine is also good in every term. There is a lag till 1750 rpm, but it is not that evident. The car perform well in all manner but the suspension is not that impressive.
