Test drove petrol and diesel versions. The clutch and brake are hard on petrol version, needed more effort to depress. Whereas diesel version was alright, Why?

The hard clutch of the petrol version may be because of the fact that the people drive diesel test cars more than the petrol test cars. However before buying a new car, you should drive a fresh model and that would give a clear idea of how the clutch and transmission works.
