In reviews they say , the grand i10 is a city car. Lots of reviews say about the poor pick up of the car and i dont see users of that car commenting against such comments. I am planning to buy a car and am stuck between two options...the new swift vdi or the grand i10 Asta CRDi diesel. Please someone help me get the ryt one. Am looking for a good family hatchback!
Both the cars are very good, while the Grand i10 Asta has better features, the Swift Vdi has better performance. Yes, the Grand i10 is an urban car, and it gives its best on city roads, the car isn't that confident on highways. However, on the other hand the Swift comes with a powerful 1.3-litre multijet engine, which is equally good on both highways and cities. But, Swift has a turbo lag below 1750rpms that becomes hectic in stop and go traffic. So, now it depends on your usage that for which car you want to go. If you drive more in the city and go for occasional drives on highway the Grand i10 can be a good option for you else the Swift is the best.
That's great if you are planning for a new car. It might interest you to know that Hyundai is planning to launch the facelift version of the Grand i10 sometime this year around August/September. The Grand i10 facelift is also likely to get AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). So if you are planning in 1-2 months, we suggest you to wait for its new facelift version and other new upcoming cars.
