Hi, I have a new swift diesel zdi 2014 done 2500km, I got oil changed to shell helix hx7 10w40. But now I came to know recomende oil grade is 5w40 so should I continue with the oil or change to recomended grade oil immediately pls advice, thank you.
The abilities of an engine oil can be judged on the basis of its grade and additives used in it. The Shell Helix HX7 is a high performance engine oil and recommended for the Swift, but as you said the recommended grade is 5W40. However, we would like to tell you that the 10W40 will also not harm your car's engine. Both the engine oils are multi grade semi engine oils and basic difference between both the oils is that at lower temprature or normal temprature the 5W40 has lower viscocity and the 10W40 has a higher viscocity, however at a higher temprature both the engine oils has the same viscocity index of 40, which 10W40 is more thicker than the 5W40 on normal temprature.
The advantage with the 5W40 is that it helps the engine to start quickly in extermly cold weathers (where temprature is lower than -5 degree), apart from that both the engine oils shares the same chracterstics. As in India, the temprature doesn't fall that much, you are using the same engine oil more or less.

Yes you can get it installed. But we won't recommend it . Since, it will void warranty. CNG is best suited alternate fuel option instead of LPG. However, there are no CNG filling stations available in Faizabad UP. The nearest one is in Lucknow.
We would not recommend a CNG kit on Brio for it doesn't have a lot of low end torque in the first place and the kit makes it worse. On CNG, it will require a lot of throttle input to get it going in the first and second gear. Hence, we would not recommend you to get CNG kit fitted..
