Hyundai introduced Grand i10 in both petrol and diesel engine options with several trim levels for the buyers to choose from. Among the diesel variants, the Hyundai Grand i10 CRDi Sportz is the mid range variant that is powered by an advanced 1.1-litre second generation U2 diesel mill. This engine is now considered as one of the most fuel efficient diesel engines available in the automobile markets as it has the ability to return a maximum 24 Kmpl of mileage.

Its petrol variant has been blessed with 1.2-litre, Kappa Dual, VTVT based petrol mill under its hood. This engine has the displacing capacity of about 1197cc and produces a maximum power of about 81.9bhp at 6000rpm, while yielding a maximum 113.8Nm of torque at 4000rpm. This engine has been skillfully coupled with an advanced 5-speed manual transmission gearbox that transmits the engine power to the front wheels and returns a classing mileage of about 18.9 Kmpl.

This Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz is the mid range hatchback with top class features. Hence, customers can expect better features inside this hatch. The company has bestowed this mid range hatch with features including a power steering system, a manual air conditioner with heater , a power outlet, front and rear power windows with driver side auto down function, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, front intermittent washer and wiper, a rear parcel tray, a luggage lamp, rear AC vent, a cooled glove box, a push button start/stop function and several other such features.

Hey, it is good to hear that you are planning for a new car and we appreciate your choice as both the cars that you have shortlisted are among the best cars in their respective segment.

Firstly, you need to decide the segment that you prefer.

Hatchback : These are small cars which would accommodate around 5 people and it doesn't have an extended boot.

Sedan: Sedans are cars with extended boot. These are longer than hatchbacks. These would also accommodate not more than 5 people.

SUV: SUV is expanded as Sports Utility Vehicles and are big cars, which were designed to go over rough surfaces or off road. These can accommodate about 5-7 people.

If you often travel with family with extra luggage then you should buy a sedan and if you travel more on highways and on rough roads then we prefer you to opt the SUV.

In SUV segment, the best car which meets your requirements is Vitara Brezza.

The ZDI plus variant will be the best for you.

The car is high on features and has practical touches too, such as the smart seating arrangement.  The proven and reliable engine, along with a strong after-sales network, make the Brezza an extremely attractive package. Maruti Ciaz is well suited to those who prefer reliability and a decent performance both within the city and on the highway. The Ciaz also has similar safety features like Vitara Brezza.

    Hey,

We appreciate your keenness to know the impact of GST on cars.

If you were planning a diesel hatchback or a sub-4m sedan, it's probably the right time to go ahead and make a purchase before GST rolls out.

Currently, the combined taxes on cars, including excise, sales tax and VAT can be as high as 27.5% to 35.5% of the value of the car. With GST implemented, the total taxes on small and medium cars will come to only about 31%. Hence, there will be overall increment in the prices.
