Hi Shubhasish,

If you want power and performance go for Ford Figo which is available with both diesel and petrol model. Maruti Ritz also available in diesel and petrol engine but power is less than Figo. While Chevrolet Beat and Hyundai i10 is very fuel efficient and cars but do not have diesel variant.

If your running distance is above 3000km per month you should go for diesel car or less than 3000kms you can go for petrol car.

For further details about the car please click on the given link in body text.

Thank you.

Hey, it is good to hear that you are planning for a new car and we appreciate your choice as both the cars that you have shortlisted are among the best cars in their respective segment.

Firstly, you need to decide the segment that you prefer.

Hatchback : These are small cars which would accommodate around 5 people and it doesn't have an extended boot.

Sedan: Sedans are cars with extended boot. These are longer than hatchbacks. These would also accommodate not more than 5 people.

SUV: SUV is expanded as Sports Utility Vehicles and are big cars, which were designed to go over rough surfaces or off road. These can accommodate about 5-7 people.

If you often travel with family with extra luggage then you should buy a sedan and if you travel more on highways and on rough roads then we prefer you to opt the SUV.

In SUV segment, the best car which meets your requirements is Vitara Brezza.

The ZDI plus variant will be the best for you.

The car is high on features and has practical touches too, such as the smart seating arrangement.  The proven and reliable engine, along with a strong after-sales network, make the Brezza an extremely attractive package. The car has ample of safety features such as Anti-Lock Braking System, EBD, Driver Airbag, Passenger Airbag, Engine Immobilizer, Crash Sensor and many more.

If you wish to buy a car in Sedan segment, Maruti Ciaz is one for you. 1.3 Zeta variant will be best suitable for you.

Pick the Ciaz if you need nothing else but a comfortable, value for money sedan. The car has best in class claimed fuel economy figures of 20.73 kmpl in petrol while diesel stands at 26.21 kmpl. Maruti Ciaz is well suited to those who prefer reliability and a decent performance both within the city and on the highway. The Ciaz also has similar safety features like Vitara Brezza.

    Hey,

We appreciate your keenness to know the impact of GST on cars.

If you were planning a diesel hatchback or a sub-4m sedan, it's probably the right time to go ahead and make a purchase before GST rolls out.

Currently, the combined taxes on cars, including excise, sales tax and VAT can be as high as 27.5% to 35.5% of the value of the car. With GST implemented, the total taxes on small and medium cars will come to only about 31%. Hence, there will be overall increment in the prices.

It's great that you are looking forward to buy a new car and thank you for making us a part of your car buying journey.

The cars you have selected are certainly great options.

Maruti comes with strong after sales network. Talking about Maruti Baleno, a premium hatchback offer perfect balance of performance and features whereas Maruti Dzire is a compact sedan which offers good fuel-efficiency.

On the other hand, Ford Aspire is a stylish sedan offer good driveability. Talking about Volkswagen Ameo, it has better build quality.

Under the hood, all cars are powered with 1.2 petrol engine and have same performance figures but Ameo is slightly under powered.

    Verdict:

It would certainly depend on your driving requirements but here Maruti Swift Dzire could be a better pick as it offers five speed manual and automatic transmission with Dual-front Airbags, ABS with EBD as standard safety feature. Rest, if you drive mainly on highways then Ford Aspire will be a better option. Baleno is being sold through Nexa dealership and is one of the most selling car in this segment. It will be easy to drive in city conditions.

Additionally, Ford and Volkswagen is on higher side in terms of maintenance as compared to Maruti family cars.

We also recommend you to take a test drive before making a final call.
