    Maruti Baleno Highlights

Maruti Suzuki Baleno is a premium hatchback and although it stacks under 4-metre of length (3995 mm), its 1745 mm wide cabin makes it quite a large car. The design and style on the Baleno are the best we have seen from the Maruti till date. Baleno’s cabin too is impressive and the minimalistic design of the dash augers very well. Even the rear seat of Baleno is surprisingly roomier for a hatchback.

Under the hood, the Baleno is offered with a choice of a 1.2-liter K-series petrol engine and a 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine. While the petrol Baleno is capable of making 85 PS/115 Nm, the diesel Baleno puts out 75 PS/190 Nm of raw performance.

The all-new Swift was first launched in Japan in January 2017 and will be finally launched in India in the first half of 2018. Maruti Dzire is the compact sedan based on the Swift hatchback and among the top-selling cars in India. In its latest 2017 avatar, the Dzire has got a very sensible and proportioned design. Quality of the interiors has also taken a massive leave and Maruti should be credited for liberating more cabin space inside. In fact, 2017 Dzire is now one of the most spacious cars in its segment.

Dzire is the better family car for its space, practicality and ride comfort. Swift for driving dynamics, fun to drive characteristics and Baleno for space and comfort .

The Maruti Suzuki Swift is back to its sporty roots, with the chassis tuned for handling than outright comfort. And while the car is better than before in terms of interior space and features, the Swift is not the ideal family hatchback.

If you want to buy the Baleno because everyone else is, go ahead. It truly is a well-rounded package. We’re glad ABS and dual airbags are standard no matter what variant you choose.

The Maruti Dzire sits at the top of the compact sedan segment quite comfortably. A whole lot has improved with the new generation, and this time around, it actually deserves the number one spot.

The petrol, on the other hand, is refined and is very engaging to use. You can take it easy and get a good fuel-economy or rev it hard to have some fun. It’s easily among the most well-rounded petrol engines in the segment.
