hi i'm going to purchase new maruti swift petrol and little confuse to choose variant so please tell me the basic difference between swift [LXI] or [LXI optional (O) ] THANK YOU
It's great that you wish to buy a new car.
Maruti Swift has 17 variants which include petrol, diesel and limited edition variants.
"XI" indicates that car is equipped with a petrol engine and "DI" indicates that car is equipped with a diesel engine.
LXI stands for base variant.
VXI means it is a full option car.
ZXI means added featured car along with full option like ABS, Airbags etc.
If you see LDI, VDI, ZDI - it is a car with respective features and the difference is that it replaces XI with DI which means that it is a diesel car.
In general, throughout the range, Maruti nomenclature shows that the LXI/LDI are the lowest versions loaded with just the bare minimum. The VXI/VDI are the next that come in the line with some added creature comforts and cosmetic beauty. The ZXI/ZDI are the top end variants loaded to the boot with all the possible cosmetics and comfort equipments that can be packed into the car.
Optional means that the respective variant has some additional features in comparison to its original variant.
In this particular comparison, Maruti Swift LXI Optional-O has more features than Maruti Swift LXI. The additional features include Power Windows, Anti-Lock Braking, Central Locking, Power Door Locks, Anti-Theft Alarm, Driver Airbag, Passenger Airbag, Keyless Entry, Crash Sensor. Although, Maruti Swift LXI Optional-O is expensive by 25k, it is worth spending.

I am 43 yrs old and using Ford Figo Diesel since 2011. I am happy with it except for ground clearance. Now I am planning to upgrade for SUV. I am nri and My avg driving is max 8000 kms/year. I prefer to buy petrol/AWD/Auto/SUV. My native is a hilly village and thus ground clearance is a major concern. My figo with 5 pers gets easily scratched on small speed breakers. My budget is upto 30 L. How is Skoda Yeti / CR-V. I want to keep new car >10 yrs? Any other options? Pls suggest suitable car
It is great that you wish to upgrade your car and thank you for elaborating your requirements so precisely. According to your requirements, we would suggest you to go for Toyota Fortuner 2.7 2WD AT (Petrol), it isn't a all wheel drive car. However, does the job perfectly. If you wish to stay with Ford since you are already maintaining a Ford and services aren't a problem for you, Ford Endeavour 3.2 Trend AT 4X4 (Diesel) is a great option to go for . This won't be a petrol variant but is value for money as you drive that much. Skoda Yeti, Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson are both good options if you wish to go for a 5 seater SUV. If you are looking for a 5 seater SUV, we would suggest you to go for Tucson as it has been facelifted recently and has all the latest features unlike Yeti and CR-V both which haven't been upgraded since a long time. Click here to check out the options that you have.
The ground clearance of the new Skoda Rapid is 163 MM earlier it was 168 MM. Click here to know all about it.
Hey, both cars that you have selected are indeed great. However, both variants belong to different fuel types. WE would suggest you to go for a diesel car if and only if you drive for more than 2000 KMS in a month as it would cost you more initially and also would be expensive to maintain. Talking about Baleno Petrol, it is swift to drive, light on the steering and offers you enourmous amount of features. Space is better with Baleno as compared to Figo. Thus, we would suggest you to go for Baleno, if you drive less and mostly drive in cities. Rest you if travel a lot and drive on highways mostly, go for Figo. Click here to check out the comparison.
