Are there any higher variants
The new Alto K10 with aggressive new design looks truly updated and is one of the best selling and affordable small car. On the other hand, The GO+ is a compact alternative to the larger MPVs as well as a larger alternative to the regular hatchbacks. The only car in its price range to offer a third row. It can accommodate a total of 7 passengers. All other options in the price range are 5 seater hatchbacks.
Interior and Space: In Alto K10, the space on the inside isn't as good as the competition with Go+ and the feel of the plastics isn't that great. But the quality of the plastics is decent and things don't fall apart. In Go+, quality of the plastic panels is superior along with fresh interiors. There's ample space in both the rows and the third row can be folded down to be used as a large boot space.
Engine and Specifications: Go+ is powered by 3-cylinder, 1.2-liter petrol engine that churns out 67 BHP @ 5000 rpm & 104 Nm of torque @ 4000 rpm. The ARAI fuel economy is 20.62 kmpl. Alto K10 is equipped to a 1.0-litre, K-series petrol engine with a capacity to displace 998cc which produces a maximum 67.1bhp at 6000rpm.
Verdict - Though Datsun insists on calling it a seven-seater, the Go+ isn't exactly a proper one. The third row can only accommodate luggage or children having height below 5 ft. and can't really be used to seat any adult. But if you look at it as a five-seater, with a decent amount of luggage space, then the Go+ makes more sense.
