I would like to by a i20 magna optional 1.2 car but it has no antilock breaking system i.e abd is ti right choice buying a car without ABS

ABS is an important safety feature for sure, you can go for i20 1.2 Optional variant and get the ABS installed additionally.

    EcoSport Highlights

    The Ford EcoSport is available with three engine options: two petrol (1.5-litre Ti-VCT 123PS/150Nm and 1.0-litre EcoBoost 125PS/170Nm) and one diesel (1.5-litre TDCI 100PS/205Nm). The 1.5-litre petrol comes with the option of a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, the diesel comes standard with a 5-speed manual. The 1.0-litre EcoBoost, on the other hand, features a 6-speed manual transmission. Fuel Economy figures stand at 17kmpl and 23kmpl for petrol and diesel manual versions, respectively. The petrol AT is rated at 14.8kmpl, while the 1.0-litre EcoBoost returns 18.1kmpl.

    Creta Highlights

    It continues to carry forward the same set of engines as the pre-facelift model: a 1.6-litre petrol, 1.4-litre diesel and a 1.6-litre diesel. The 1.6-litre petrol engine pumps out 123PS/151Nm, while the 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engines produce 90PS/220Nm and 128PS/260Nm, respectively. All three engines are paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. However, the 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines get an optional 6-speed automatic transmission as well.
    It is equipped with dual front airbags and ABS with EBD as standard across the range. However, in the top-spec variant, the Creta gets additional features such as side and curtain airbags, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management control and hill launch assist as well.

    Compare Ford EcoSport (1.5 Petrol Titanium Plus Petrol) and Hyundai Creta (1.6 SX Petrol) 

    The Titanium variant has Rain Sensing Wiper, Leather Seats, Voice Control, Brake Assist, Side Airbag Front/Rear, Traction Control, Vehicle Stability Control System, Automatic Headlamps etc which misses out in SX variant. 
    On the other hand, SX comes with Chrome Garnish, Air Quality Control, Rear ACVents, Rear Spoiler, Fabric Upholstery, 400-litres boot space (48 litres more than Ecosport), Bench Folding Rear Seat, Front USB charger etc.

    Maruti Ertiga 2018 engine and transmission: The second-gen Ertiga will be powered by a brand new 1.5-litre petrol engine that’s more powerful than the current 1.4-litre motor. The engine puts out 104.7PS of max power and 138Nm of peak torque. While it is offered with a 5-speed manual and 4-speed AT in Indonesia, the India-spec MPV could get a 6-speed AT. The diesel, on the other hand, is rumoured to be Maruti’s inhouse-developed 1.5-litre unit. It could be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.  

    Maruti Ertiga 2018 features: The India-spec second-gen Ertiga is expected to get LED projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs, LED tail lamps, 16-inch wheels, 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and CarPlay, push-button start-stop and auto climate control. Safety features will include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and Isofix child seat anchors. 

    Maruti Ertiga 2018 price and rivals: The second-gen Ertiga is expected to be priced at a premium over the first-gen model, in the range of Rs 6.5 lakh - 11 lakh. The current model retails between Rs 6.3 lakh - 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).  The new Ertiga will go up against the Renault Lodgy and the Honda BR-V.
