Hi Gaurav, Would agree with what Ramendra had suggested, bcoz Manza is good option to go for, because it scores high in terms of Looks, Durability, Cost of running, and mileage too. This car is very spacious and as you mentioned that you are not interested in small car so per your requirement it is a three box car. Even the Swift and Vista are also very good options by keeping your daily usage in mind, though both are small cars but gives a comfort and feel of a big car while driving.

Hi Gaurav,

Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Manza and Hyundai Accent are good sedans in this price range. Your monthly running is around 1000 kms in a month so diesel cars will suit you better as running cost of diesel cars are cheaper than petrol cars. Cars that run on alternate fuel (LPG or CNG) may also be a good option for you.

Maruti Swift Dzire and Tata Manza are available with diesel engines and both cars are currently performing really good on Indian roads.

Maruti Swift Dzire comes with 1.3L, 1248cc, Multijet diesel engine that delivers 75 PS of maximum power at 4000rpm with 190Nm of maximum torque at 2000rpm. Dzire offers the excellent mileage of 14.5kmpl in city while on highway it gives 19.3kmpl.

Tata Manza is also powered by the same capacity diesel engine but the power it delivers is bit higher than Swift Dzire. The 1.3L, 1248cc, Quadrajet diesel engine of Manza delivers 90 PS of maximum power at 4000rpm with 200Nm of maximum torque at 1750~3000rpm. Tata Manza gives a mileage of around 14.4kmpl in the city and 19kmpl on highway.

Hyundai Accent too, is a good option for you which is available with LPG variant. With Hyundai Accent Executive LPG your running cost will be 35% less than conventional fuel. For more information about these cars you may visit the given link of these cars.

Hi Gaurav,
As per your requirements, the petrol version of Volkswagen Polo model will be a better option for you in the price range of Rs 5.5 to 6 lakh. The polo model carries class leading looks & road presence along with a considerably high fuel economy. As far as performance of this car is concerned, the 1.2L, 1198cc petrol engine with 5 speed manual transmission gearbox of this car produces 75PS of maximum power at 5400rpm with 110Nm of maximum torque at 3750rpm and delivers good acceleration so that car can cross 100kmph mark in 14.2 seconds and can touch the top speed mark of 162.9 kmph.
