thr r so many engine options in BM7 series 720d, 730d(both r deisel engine and most fuel efficient engine, 720d means 7 stnd for seven series and 20d stand for 2000cc deisel engin) so 720 gives almst 14km/ltr and 730d gives 8-10km/ltr nd in bmw so many petrol engines as wel like 720li(720li mens 7series body and 20li stands for 2000cc petrol engine ) 730li 740li 745li 750li 760li 765li(highest power full engine 6500cc petrol engine and i am not so sure it coes in india or not) well if avreg is ur concern than buy 720d or 730d BUT MY FVRT IS BMW 765LI
