Enjoy 1.4 LT 7 Review
Chevrolet Enjoy has undergone a facelift and now it looks quite refreshing as well as stylish compared to the outgoing model. Out of its various trims, this Chevrolet Enjoy 1.4 LT 7 is a mid range variant, which runs with a 1.4-litre petrol engine. A 5-speed manual transmission gear box is paired with this motor that displaces 1399cc. This latest version retains the same technical specifications but received a few modifications to its exteriors. These include rear license plate with chrome garnish and B-pillar styling strips on its sides. Inside the cabin, it features a three spoke steering wheel mounted with audio switches, and chrome finish on gear knob, parking lever as well as door handles. The company has even used a new leatherite upholstery for its well cushioned seats. Apart from these, it comes with excellent braking and handling aspects. Its suspension system too, is quite proficient and helps in maintaining stability irrespective of road conditions. Safety is also best assured in this vehicle, which is loaded with speed sensitive auto door locks, door ajar warning lamp, seat belts and many other such important features.
Exteriors:
No changes are made to its front facade and hence, it features the same three dimensional radiator grille, which is treated in chrome. This grille is surrounded by swoosh styled, wrap around headlight cluster that is equipped with clear lens, jewel effect headlamps and turn indicators. The air dam on its body colored bumper is perforated and flanked by a couple of leaf styled bright fog lamps. Its frontage also includes a wide windscreen fitted with a pair of wipers, while the bonnet with expressive lines further adds to its look. Its rear end has a tail gate in plain design, whereas the license plate console now gets a chrome finish. It also has a large taillight cluster integrated with brake lights and turn indicators. The Chevrolet Golden Bowtie embossed between this chrome strip and windshield, remains the highlight. A high mount stop lamp, wiper and a dual tone bumper are the other aspects in its rear profile. On the other hand, it has a stylish side profile that includes B and C pillars, which are now garnished in black. The outside rear view mirrors as well as door handles are painted in body color, while the roof rails further adds to its sporty appearance. It also comes with neatly carved wheel arches that are fitted with a set of 14 inch steel wheels. These rims have full wheel covers and fitted with radial tubeless tyres of size 175/70 R14.
Interiors:
This MPV has its internal section decorated in Black and Beige color scheme, which looks quite appealing. A few updates inside the cabin include chrome finish on door handles, parking lever as well as gear knob. Besides this, its well cushioned seats are now covered with premium leatherite upholstery, whereas the AC vents and door armrests have glossy black finish. Apart from this, it includes the regular stuff like a well designed dashboard to which, a three spoke steering wheel, air conditioning unit and an audio unit are fitted. It also includes a high volume glove box, blue illuminated instrument cluster as well as AC vents. The driver's seat has height adjustment facility, while the rear one has split folding function. In addition to all these, the cabin also has driver side storage in dashboard, back pockets in front and second row seats, cup holders in front console, and a few other storage spaces.
Engine and Performance:
A powerful 1.4-litre SMARTECH petrol engine powers this variant. This mill comes with a total displacement capacity of 1399cc. It is paired with a five speed manual transmission gear box, and integrated with a multi point fuel injection system. On the highways, it can return a mileage of about 13.7 Kmpl, which comes down to nearly 11 Kmpl in city driving conditions. The peak power generated by this motor comes to 98.8bhp at 6000rpm and it yields torque output of 131Nm at 4400rpm. In terms of acceleration, it can propel the vehicle to attain a top speed of approximately 175 Kmph and crosses the 100 Kmph speed mark in around 14.8 seconds.
Braking and Handling:
The company has offered it with a proficient suspension system that keeps the vehicle well balanced at all times. A McPherson strut is affixed to its front axle, while the rear one gets a multi link coil spring. Both the axles are further assembled with passive twin tube gas filled shock absorbers. This trim comes with a power assisted steering system that helps in its easy handling. Meanwhile, it has a reliable braking system wherein, its front wheels are fitted with disc brakes and drum brakes are equipped to the rear ones.
Comfort Features:
A number of comfort features are loaded in this vehicle, which helps in making the journey enjoyable. The list includes height adjustable headrests in all three rows, tinted glasses, reverse parking sensors, remote keyless entry with buzzer, tilt adjustable steering wheel, rear wiper and washer as well. It has power operated windows, while courtesy lamps are offered in the front and rear cabin. A multipurpose 12V power outlet is present in the third row seat using which, electronic devices can be charged. An integrated music system with a CD, MP3 player is also offered to add to the entertainment quotient. It supports USB socket, auxiliary input and comes with four speakers. Apart from all these, it further includes cigarette lighter, digital clock, sunvisor with vanity mirror on co-passenger's side, ticket holder, tachometer and a few others.
Safety Features:
This mid range variant has a lot of protective features that keeps the vehicle as well as its passengers safe.
