Mahindra Bolero Plus - Non-AC BSIII PS is one of the mid range variants in this model series that is powered by a 2.5-litre diesel engine. It can displace 2523cc and comes paired with a five speed manual transmission gear box. This robust SUV has stunning exteriors that include some styling elements. Some of these include an aggressive front radiator grille, attractive body graphics on the sides and large tail lights in its rear end. Meanwhile, its interiors have high quality plastic materials and sophisticated equipments. The fabric upholstered seats offer enhanced comfort, while there are cup holders, low fuel warning light and a few storage spaces also available. When it comes to safety, it is equipped with attributes like front disc brakes, child safety locks on rear doors, and seat belts for all passengers. It has a proficient suspension system that ensures the vehicle remains stable no matter how the road conditions are. The company offers it with one year or unlimited kilometers standard warranty, whichever is earlier.


In terms of dimensions, it has an overall length of 4440mm along with a decent height of 1977mm and a total width of 1660mm with external rear view mirrors included. Its wheelbase of 2794mm is large and ensures a spacious cabin inside. Its ground clearance of 195mm is pretty decent. To describe its rear end, it has muscular bumper and a large tail gate with a spare wheel mounted on it. This SUV is very spacious inside and takes in nine people with much ease. An attractive color scheme is used for the cabin thus, making it quite appealing. It provides ample head space and at the same time, guarantees sufficient leg as well as shoulder room. It is incorporated with well cushioned seats that have integrated headrests. These are covered with fine quality cloth based upholstery. Meanwhile, the cockpit has a well designed dashboard that houses a few equipments. It includes a three spoke steering wheel, air vents and an instrument cluster that gives out various notifications. A glove box compartment is also present in which, several things can be placed. In addition to these, the cabin also includes assist grips, door handles, and some storage spaces as well.

Engine and Performance:

This trim is fitted with a 2.5-litre diesel power plant that has a displacement capacity of 2523cc. It has four cylinders that are integrated with eight valves. A common rail based direct injection system is incorporated that aids in better fuel efficiency. This can churn out a maximum power of 63bhp at 3200rpm along with 180Nm torque between 1440 to 1500rpm. A five speed manual transmission gear box is paired to this motor that enables it to attain a top speed of nearly 125 to 130 Kmph. This can accelerate from 0 to 100 Kmph in approximately 20 to 25 seconds. Its mileage comes to about 15.96 Kmpl on the highways and 12.4 Kmpl within the city.

Braking and Handling:

An independent suspension is assembled on its front axle with coil spring and anti roll bar, whereas the rear ones are affixed with parabolic leaf springs. It is offered with a hydraulic braking system that ensures good performance in all conditions. On the front wheels, there are disc brakes fitted, while drum brakes are used for the rear ones. On the other hand, it is bestowed with a power steering column that aids in good handling and easy maneuverability.

Comfort Features:

Being a mid range trim, it comes with only limited comfort aspects. The seats provide good comfort, while the integrated headrests offer support as well. It comes with a boot compartment of 690 litres and this space can be further increased by folding its rear bench seat. There are cup holders available, while it also has sunvisors for front occupants. Aside from these, it has an instrument cluster that keeps the driver alert by displaying notifications like low fuel consumption, vehicle speed and so on.

Safety Features:

When it comes to safety, it has a rigid body structure with side and front impact beams. This ensures additional security at the time of a collision. There are seat belts offered for all passengers, while the front disc brakes add to the safety quotient. Besides these, it also includes a high mount stop lamp, centrally mounted fuel tank, child safety locks on rear doors and engine immobilizer as well.
