BMW 7 Series 750Li M Sport CBU review

Overview:

BMW stands in the spotlight, with a new version of BMW 7 Series 750Li M Sport CBU released in the market. This is just the type of vehicle that gets people gasping. Fine exteriors, a comfort stirring cabin and the best engineering come together in this piece, and this model sets itself well apart in the Indian terrain. The legendary car maker has got a strong hold in Europe and the US, where luxury car buyers have deep pockets. However, the company is still establishing its scene here in India, and we can hope that vehicles such as these bring the company to a firm footing.

Pros:

1. Finely carved exterior design.

2. Exceptional performance quality.

Cons:

1. The price range would definitely ward off many customers.

2. It lacks some of the features the nearest rivals have.

Stand Out Features:

1. The advanced comfort facilities are sure to go well with today's auto-base.

Overview:

BMW steps up its race to the top in the Indian luxury car scene, with this newly revised model launch. Jazzy exteriors, landmark comforts, and performance together keep this machine at its bright spot in the market. The man behind the wheel is entitled to an unforgettable drive experience, with the interaction of many good comfort facilities. Apart from this, the safety standards are also tight in this vehicle, with airbags, ABS, BMW condition based service and many other features that ensure peace of mind for the driver and passengers.

Exterior:

Rigorous exteriors, sharp lines and fine sculpture together define BMW's DNA. We thought that the face was perfectly adapted for the vehicle, with a broad kidney grille that comes with chrome struts. Flanking this are well designed LED headlight cluster on both sides, and the company has included 4 DRLs, cornering lights and direction indicator into the headlamp profile. You're sure to feel allured by the slim hood with muscular cuts, and the shining BMW badge on the center. The classic side profile is decorated with character lines that stream over the door-sides. The side claddings and ideally placed door handles further harmonizes the entire look. Meanwhile, the 19-inch light alloy wheels are sure to get some heads turning, and we admired the slick layout of the rims. A bar runs between the tail lamps at the rear, and we thought this exerted a bold effect over the vehicle. A line over the boot-lit has been carved to align with the lines of the roof, and we thought that the chrome inserts invite a more powerful appeal. The chrome exhaust pipes go along with the rich picture, making a special emphasis on the car's luxurious aura.

Interior:

A wide range of accessories are assembled inside the cabin, offering a palatial experience for the occupants. The car comes with mood lighting offered in six different light designs. The cockpit is built on strong ergonomics, with a neater picture brought out by the interaction of the various instruments. There is enough room for two adults. At the focus of the dashboard is a 10.25” touchscreen infotainment system with integrated touch command and multiple functions. BMW apps, navigation system with 3D maps are also available to keep you connected at all times. We thought that the steering wheel was just fine, and the grip is suitable. In front, the dual pod digital instrument cluster houses a speedometer, a tachometer and other vehicle related info that ease the experience for the driver. Entertainment in this vehicle isn't confined merely for the first row. Passengers at the rear benefit from a Blu-Ray drive accompanied by two tiltable 9-inch screens, and this operation can be utilized through a 7-inch tablet with touch command. Apart from this, the ride comfort is boosted with armrests, storage, BMW gesture control, comfort electric seats, a massage function for the rear row, and many advanced facilities. At the top, the panorama glass roof comes with integrated LED light graphics is appreciable, and this is a feature nobody should miss.

Performance:

BMW is not the type of company to compromise on performance. Beneath the hood of this vehicle is a 4.4 liter BMW twin-turbo petrol engine. It comprises of 8 cylinders and 32 valves incorporated together, and displaces 4395cc. The vehicle generates impressive specs, including a power of 450bhp at 5500-6000 rpm and 650Nm of torque between 1500-2500 rpm. The machine can sprint from 0-100 kmph feat in just 4.7 seconds, and can charge to a top speed of 250 kmph. We thought these were pretty impressive stats for the class that the vehicle belongs to. Apart from performance, the mill ensures strong fuel economy as well, with a mileage of 12.05 kmpl. The 8 speed steptronic sport automatic transmission reduces hassle for the man behind the wheel, and at the same time, brings out the maximum efficiency of the engine.

Ride & Handling:

A relaxed ride experience is enabled with the BMW efficient dynamics technology. The car has an adaptive 2-axle air suspension system works to provides bettered cushioning when meeting the strains of regular Indian roads. Apart from this, a dynamic damper control facility that comes along with infinite and independent damping ability also helps to digest road anomalies. The BMW driving experience control facility with Eco Pro coasting lets you choose among the 6 driving modes available. For easy maneuverability, the multi-function steering wheel comes along with servotronic assist. Cruise control mechanism helps to relieve strain for the driver, while at the same time, building stability for the ride. A host of other advanced techno aids, such as cornering aids, dynamic stability controls and many others together solidify control when driving, ensuring that nothing is left amiss.

Safety:

Most of us would have little doubt about this company's high safety standards. An exhaustive airbag security feature shields the occupants, including front and side airbags along with head airbags. The Anti-lock braking system comes along with brake assist and dynamic braking lights, enhancing the braking performance and safety when driving. Also present is an electric park braking with auto hold function, which minimizes hassle when reversing and braking. Customers would be happy to hear of many other features, such as crash sensors, seat belt warnings, side impact protection, ISOFIX child seat anchors and door locking systems. Available as an option is a BMW night-vision system that further reduces insecure settings when driving.

Verdict:

We'll tell you the truth, folks, its hard finding a con with this model. The vehicle's diesel engine brings good performance and efficiency, sure to grant most people just what they want. The outer look glitters with the finest shape and architecture, along with many prominent elements. On the inside, the cabin design exudes class and elegance, and a never ending slew of comfort factors will surely get anyone delighted. Nevertheless, potential buyers need to keep in mind the car's extravagant price tag. At the end, this is the ideal vehicle for those addicted to quality and luxury, and those willing to shell out many extra lakhs for it. For those looking for an average ride that can get you from point A to point B, we'd suggest some other model.
