It might seem at first that the Thar RWD is not as proficient as its 4WD iteration when it comes to conquering off-road conditions. However, Mahindra equips the new Thar RWD with an electric brake locking differential (available with the diesel engine), which is quite helpful in off-road conditions.

Awesome off-road track, a perfect car. We took it to Himachal for off-roading, and it was going like a bullet. The suspension is very reliable.
