Mercedes SL350 and Mercedes GL500 launched

In a sensational gala event organized in New Delhi, Mercedes-Benz India launched two of its most-awaited models, the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL- 350 and Mercedes-Benz SL-Class GL 500 in India. These two models which were in the waiting to be launched in India will now be available for sale at almost all the major dealerships across India. With the launch is of these two new models the company expects to strengthen its presence in the Indian auto market. Mercedes SL- 350 and Mercedes GL 500 will also help in further boosting the sales of Mercedes cars in India. As per the officials, the monthly sales report issued by Mercedes India, over 833 units were sold in March 2011 alone, taking the growth rate to over 89 percent over March 2010 when only 440 units were sold.

The Mercedes SL- 350 has been priced at Rs98.5 lakh while the Mercedes GL 500 priced at Rs80.9 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Speaking on the occasion Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director Peter Honegg said that the two cars among the ‘most popular offerings and the two will get good response from auto lovers in India.

The launch of Mercedes SL- 350 and Mercedes GL 500 was slated today to celebrate 125th anniversary of Mercedes Benz India. The company seems to be focusing their best on the sales of both these new launches Mercedes SL- 350 and Mercedes GL 500. The launch of the sports car Mercedes SL- 350 and the SUV Mercedes GL 500  will generate strong demand in India and in order to meet the demand the company has decided to deliver the cars on time. In India, the Mercedes SL- 350 is expected to draw attention mostly the sports car lovers while the launch of Mercedes GL 500 will attract those who believe in going off road.
